Because those were the Athletic Director's exact words last night.

Probably going to be some sort of accommodation for beer sales. Probably no more than a concession building and some "party decks", or maybe a more elaborate indoor lounge for the money people to enjoy.

Maybe our defense is going to be so good they will close the end zone from other teams scoring

I'm all for upgrades, the west endzone stands are embarrassing to say the least. Just keep the hillside grass on either side of the "home" stands.

I'd be all for that. Remove the west end zone bleachers. Build a multi level restaurant/bar/brewery thats is open year-round. Have tables, seating, etc facing the field with some smaller bleachers.

I’d say go bigger. Make it football access on one side and baseball access on the other. Open at least in fall and spring

Parking for something year round could be problematic.
All of us at some point have looked at that end zone and thought about what could be done with that space. Hopefully whatever they do is well thought out... and funded with outside money. A large portion of whatever they decide to do is going to be money generating so I would anticipate some sort of suites or club seating. Only speculation, who knows what the plans are going to be. It will be interesting to follow, though.

Looking at our attendance, it’ll take a long time to justify that expenditure.

Now he did not say what "soon" meant, and I didn't hear anyone ask. Maybe I should have.

I'm not sure what closing in means.

Also means we can afford more than just keeping the lights on. People always try to pretend like we're just getting by.

I'm onboard with closing in the endzone if it's done right. However, I do not have confidence in this admiration after what they have done with the rebrand.

I agree, but to be fair..I do have a lot of confidence in Dan.

Can we get some new turf and maybe some endzones that aren't from two rebrands ago?

Let's roll the brand back to pre-Proudfoot and then leave it the f*** alone.

Hopefully when this occurs, they also announce plans to move the band off the 50 yard line and put em down in that new corner perhaps. It’s so idiotic the band gets 50 yard line seats. #mickeymouseoperation

Not to mention they take up a huge amount of space. Can't they compress the seating a little bit? They should be in the west end zone corner by the hill.
