Unless these are now worth three points, or he can do it in traffic, I'm not sure how it's relevant. But, I'm pretty sure I've seen a between the legs dunk in warmups within the last few years. X Green, maybe?

It takes some pretty darn impressive hangtime/vertical/explosiveness to do this at 215-220ish pounds. Thats not going to hurt on the court.

Vasean Allette was rated as the 20th best combo guard in the 2023 class by 247. Wish we had been recruiting at that high a level to make it a rinse and repeat. If we had, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Are you optimistic about this team? If you are, can you share what excites you?

I am excited about the guard talent. I'm excited to watch these freshman (and Bryce Baker) as they progress. I'm excited to see an offense that doesn't have a misfit puzzle piece in it and is a more cohesive unit.

When JJs teams have been their best, they defended well, rebounded well and they had good point guard play. This team will defend well and definitely has good PG play. Chaunce, Ceaser, Allette, and Williams can create their own shots, a big improvement from last year. RJ Blakney can do a lot of things for us.

Rebounding and hitting open 3s will be the deciding factor on if we see more wins this season, and it's too early to say if either will or won't happen. But I like the roster building taking place and can see the progress there. Just wish the staff changes happened a few years earlier.

I would love for you to be right. I am begging for you to be right.

Right about what, exactly?

Excited about the guard talent, and all of the pieces you think can fit into the offense.

Thanks. Again, still need to see them rebound well and hit open 3s or it won't matter too much.
