With the make up of the current team being 75% new, and the move to AAC and all....it would be pretty terrible of him to leave these kids and UAB. I just don't see him doing that and I hope I am right. If I am not I will lose a ton of respect for him

Pretty much all respect I had for him will be gone if he leaves under these circumstances. I'm sure that will keep him up at night LOL...

I am an adult and I understand the ramifications of hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars, and I cannot fault him for making the financial decision to leave.

That being said, to make that decision NOW for all of all of the reasons outlined by myself and others would be an absolute slap in the face to fans, his players, and anyone who ever respected him. His word would be null and void and mean absolutely nothing. It can make sense financially, but still be an absolute DICK move.

If he were to leave for a good program immediately after a successful season, I wouldn't fault him and would wish him well. This is a very different situation.

Was just in a twitter chat thing with a bunch of WVU guys and they are gushing over the thought that their current roster will stay intact if AK comes. Just have an odd feeling about all this. Anybody seen any UAB players tweet anything?

UAB needs a solid NIL group that’s credible. I know that south side collective is supposedly ours and has gotten “big” donations recently but when I gave them money very early they ghosted me on the signed poster and stuff I was supposed to get for my donation. We need a staff position in the athletic department that is essentially a sales guy for local businesses who’s job is to pester and get some large deals for players

Maybe this is a good byproduct that can come from all of this. Andy can parlay this into a raise and more direction on NIL. As Answer said, I’m a complete rube when it comes to this space.

Where is this rumor coming from? Some guy who figured, "uh, Kennedy worked for Huggins so Huggins will recommend him!"

Bobby did not reach 70 and gracefully retire, to have his banner hung in the area and statute erected outside. He's absolutely embarrassed his employer twice in less than six weeks, in public. He should have been fired the first time, and the second just makes the WVU admin look weak and foolish. Bobby Huggins took a career of achievement and set it on fire, all by himself, because he couldn't say no to a second drink (and third, fifth and tenth). Twice in six weeks (since he was likely snockered when he went off on Xavier's fanbase).

Post count shouldn’t matter at all. It doesn’t mean anyone is more accurate than the other. Blazertalk is toxic when the topic is possibly bad for UAB

I take AK retweeting current player’s posts about the camp and stuff as a positive. Not sure I’d be doing that if I was days away from leaving.

The odds makers had AK at #1 but about 30 mins ago he is down to 6th for some reason

I wonder what happened to shoot him down that low? The only logical reason would be WVU passed on him or AK successfully got UAB to do something to retain him.

They know something, and i think it is what i thought all along. This is a good chance for AK's agent to get more from UAB and it was nothing more than that the whole time and everyone just Chicken Little'd this board.

I think this panic had some actual merit. WVU is/was probably close to offering AK the job at that point I’d assume AK would seriously consider it. This isn’t like last coaching panics we had. I don’t think Auburn was that crazy close to hiring Clark, WVU may have been very close. But yeah I always thought promoting internally would be so smart because you can keep your roster and search next off season for the entire cycle
