The only semi big jobs still open are Cal and Texas Tech, and he really doesn’t make sense for either of those schools. Of course maybe something else opens up after the season is over.

Penn State.
He's dumb if he settles for that job. We have as many final fours as Penn State

He will stay at FAU. With FAU moving to the American, the school will do what is necessary to keep him.

I'd be REAL picky if I were Dusty May. I mean, you've already gone to a Final Four with FAU, who's to say that it can't happen again? I'd have no interest in a lower or even mid tier power conference job. I'd just get my extension and pay raise from FAU, and keep soaking up the sun rays in Boca and wait for the perfect opportunity, whether it's this offseason or a future one.

Texas Tech would be the perfect match. May is a hell of a coach and he has already learned how to cope with all the sand.

There's no current opening that I'd probably leave for if I were him, depending on how much of a raise FAU can give him. Just a bunch of mediocre jobs.

They are looking to catch up to you, and have $4 million a year on the table to prove it.

That's fine if solely about money. I think he can do better than Penn State

In 2011. Penn State alum Ed DeChellis led the nittany lions to their first NCAA Tournament in a decade (following a couple NITs). Tgen he surprised the basketball world by leaving for a lower paying HC job at Navy.

I hope FAU can keep May

I do not see Temple as an option, unless it comes with a humongous raise. And we're talking about $2.5M, at least. Otherwise, why leave FAU with its entire roster returning at the top of their game for its conference mate for just an incremental raise? I am sure FAU can give him a substantial raise but i do not expect FAU to match anything beyond $2M/year.

when you think about it, would you rather spend the winter in philly or boca? there is something to be said about quality of life.

We could do $3M easily, but we won't. There are similar coaches that are more local we could get for less.

Depends on how many players he loses to the transfer portal.

And THAT depends on the NIL offers.

Right now, there is no one from FAU there. but there is still a month and a half to go, someone may still enter. But why?
