You mean “drop” to #5.
JMU was ranked 4th before the Boston win over Syracuse.
I only reference the only poll that matters, which is the rpi rankings the selection committees use when they pick at large teams and seedings for NCAA tournaments. JMU was #6 in the initial rpi rankings as mentioned in posts #27 and #33.

JMU Lacrosse (#7) beats Maryland to advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday. Looks like they will travel to Syracuse (#2).

Dukes trailed 14-10 in the 4th quarter and came back to win 15-14. Was a hell of a game. Now Syracuse is gonna be a huge challenge.
