First game on the docket, I got WVU beating Mary Land. So far so good, WVU up by 7 early.

They do have several weaknesses though. No dynamic or elite players. A talented small forward/wing with some length can eat FAU alive and even a dynamic guard with elite quickness can run circles around FAU.

There is no question Memphis out of conference schedule was on a different level than FAU, plus playing Houston.

FAU schedule was 115th(several CUSA teams had tougher schedules) while Memphis was 35th.

Memphis is battle tested, FAU not so much.

Looks like refs are calling touch fouls could on the ball screens across all of the games I've seen. That doesn't help UH or Memphis IMO. Ironically it looks like they are letting the bigs play on missed shots. That might help UH but probably not Memphis. Just hope all of our guys will play smart & stay out of fouls trouble - esp Williams.

Just an observation - noticed Erik Stevenson playing for WVA. I remembered him from WSU where he was a good perimeter shooter. Looked him up, he played 2 yrs at Wichita, one yr at Washington, a year at South Carolina & now a 5th yr at WVA. He's been around, crazy.
