Agree! If the 4C schools head to the Big12. Then the Pac12 becomes: (22M per team along with Expanding Pac12 Network into new markets)

Mountain West commissioner claims league has 'no shortage of schools that are ready to join us' in realignment

"Concerned is not the right word, but we're ready for it," Nevarez said, via Nevada Sports Net. "We have a small subcommittee, three presidents and three ADs, that have met. We've scrubbed the entire landscape of schools. We have scenario A if one school leaves, B if two schools leave, Armageddon if big conferences get destabilized. So we're ready. We have no shortage of schools that are ready to join us, we're in a really good position. We can be selective, and we can think about, 'If we lose any schools, what is it we're trying to replace? Do folks bring assets, strength, make us stronger or just strength in numbers?'"

In a doomsday scenario where the PAC is down to just Oregon State and Washingston State I don't think they'll have visions of $ In their eyes so I suspect they'll make a regional league out of the MWC and Big Sky

OSU
WSU
Boise
Wyoming
Montana
Montana State
Utah State
Colorado State
Air Force
SJSU
Fresno
SDSU

It's not going to be a "radical" 10 go out, 10-14 come in thing... It will be a gradual roll over (like the Big East FB became the AAC process)

I also think a lot of you are really just shoving the whole MWC in the new Pac-16/18/20 or whatever without considering how selective they will be, despite the "desperation" of conference losing members.

But they will likely be far more selective than just taking all the MWC. (and as long as Stanford's in the conference, they're going to hold some sway on the academic level of additions. They'll HAVE to add for football strength, but there probably be invitations to Tulane and Rice as well to appease Presidents).

Yeah. I'm assuming OSU and WSU can and will absorb the MWC under the PAC brand. And while they're at it they should make Gloria Nevarez the new PAC commissioner in this scenario.

The Pac 8ish will become the next G6 conference.
I'm thinking: WSU, OSU, Stanford, Cal, SDSU, SMU, Rice, CSU, Air Force (if they'll accept)

I wonder if Stanford and Cal would be ok with that as a conference. They might try to go independent instead if that's how it looks.

What it does now. The current PAC schools find their home in a different Power conference. You're not bringing WSU or OSU into the MW, & no one in the MW's getting a PAC invite. Sorry.
