For that entire project they have planned for there they need to remove the flood wall and make riverfront access as part of it. Louisville and Cinci did that to revitalize, and there are temp walls that can be put up when those 100 year floods come through.
If they do what they're talking about, it will look fantastic, with shopping, hotel, businesses. And all of the sports venues.
The land we have is the most we've ever had around us. We need to use it!
It sucks that 3rd and 5th avenues are running straight through it.
And you can't do anything about it because it's U.S. Route 60.

I doubt the flood wall will be removed. FYI, the wall was secured or closed as recently as March 2021 read the below link. That part of the city is considered a "low section" of the city and has a tendency to flood.

Especially flooding out a brand new multi-million dollar facility or two, maybe three if it goes across the road. They can dress it up though and make it easy access to the river. Some murals on the wall would be sweet, too, with MU sports theme.

There's a strange love affair between college baseball ballparks and train tracks...

I'm all for that. Have a large access area with a really nice University Riverfront green space.
Marshall murals would make it cool too.
I LOVE that we went back to the retro Marshall script. It's perfect branding.
That on the wall would be incredible.
They really need to make this green space friendly. Trees/grass sections in parking lots, bushes, brick entrances to flow the theme of campus buildings. Big opportunity to make something beautiful.
