I wonder if stAte fans that sit near the waterfalls have to go the bathrooms more. Is there quick access to the restrooms there? Better yet, is the beer cart close?

As far as the Joan goes, I think we had included in the end zone project concessions and restroom renovation, as well as spacing out the concourses. It's gridlock in there for a sold out game.

I’ve wondered this myself. And no, bathrooms are near concessions.

The bathrooms litterally share a cubby hole with the bathroom doors, I've seen visiting fans accidently walk into the concession stand because it's the wrong door 03-razz I think all this stuff is trying to step up showing the folks in the new conference we're willing to have facilities better than CCU's 'basketball arena' and such

The gutter urinals are a tradition of watching other peoples urine and Copenhagen spit drift by towards the drain.

Well, I thought this might be the case with the plans. Some of the projects are underway, but the rest are the "vision" by the AD. We currently don't have the funding to undertake most of the items or facilities. No fund raising letter coming to you in the near future.

Some of the projects are underway, but the rest sounds like a "vision" by the AD.

"HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - All eyes were on Marshall of Director of Athletics Christian Spears Wednesday morning. Spears gave a presentation to the Marshall University Board of Governors that included updates on current projects and shared concepts, ideas and visuals for projects he?d like to see happen in the future.

?I?m actually the kind of person who likes to will things into existence, sometimes speak them into existence, right? I want to have a vision people can rally around,? Spears said.

Spears shared several bits of information that shape his vision for Marshall?s future. These are things that he would like to be done or are being considered, but have a long way to go before becoming a reality.

“But then we’ve got to find a new home for our women’s tennis team to play so we are actively looking for an indoor and outdoor space,” Spears said.

Many of these projects will take a substantial amount of funding. Spears shared his vision for fundraising in the form of a campaign called “All M”. He hopes the campaign could become a central point of fundraising to push future projects forward.

A plan is better than just hoping they do something. I trust Spears to get these projects done.

Seconded. Every indication points to Spears being a man of action.

I agree, but posters were thinking it was a "done deal" all of the items will be built. Some of the items might happen, who knows? He needs to find the money to proceed with his plan, that is the key to his plan.

This is in line with the MU Master Plan that is made every ten years or so.

I remember in 2013, MU released their Master Plan that included things they wanted to do on campus. Some of those improvements happened and some didn't. The IPF and Student Center renovations were part of the plan, but not everything panned out.

Here is one of the proposed ideas in renovating and upgrading the Cam. I think it still needs to be done IMHO

Think of these as long term goals.

Some will happen, some will not. But you have to start with a vision in order to get to a goal. This is the wishlist. They'll be prioritized, etc on what they can do.

I really feel some of these nicer things actually will get done.

Got to talk to Christian at Green/White last year, wonderful/personable individual unlike...some folks in that position.. And if you follow Marshall, you should know we don't have the money for all these things!

Great news for our future and no, I don't want to be in or care about the AAC. The SB is where belong and very glad to be here! Best G5 league in the land.

I went ahead and made a rough rendering of what that addition may have looked like. I also added a window on the East End because I think it needs it and I just wanted to 03-lmfao

I remember that HC renovation.

If we plan on keeping that facility for another 20-30 years, upgrading it in that way will be a necessity.

You could honestly redo the entire concrete stairs/ramp. Just have new stairs on one or both sides leading up top. Handicap/ramp access would be inside with the new lower entrance.

Also, cover the top entrance completely to tie it in with the walkway. It will keep the rain out.

Almost every building project at MU for the last 10-20 years or so has been done without state help or money; except for the current baseball stadium. All the building projects and a Cam makeover will require fund raising. FYI, some of you should have seen the MU Master Plans from 30-40 years ago. Great plans, but we didn't receive state funding to implement the plans. Most of the master plans never happened.

My understanding is there absolutely will be a new fundraising campaign. We also might have some bonding capacity cleared up.

I expect the endzone project to happen.

From what I have heard, the endzone Scoreboard will need to happen soon because the current video board is obsolete to the point that if any part of it breaks, they can't replace them.

I wonder id the Endzone video board is part of the endzone funds, or the video board funds with the softball, baseball, and soccer screens?

Don't we get a new board every so many years like our turf? I thought Comcast or whomever replaced our board, and then we used the old one or sold it or something.

I think it's IMG if I remember right, but I don't know if they are funding the new one

I doubt they will pay for the full video board if they help fund it. I would think the money for the board itself would be almost funded or already fully funded since the old board is outdated.
