This is what we have been waiting for. When the schedule came out this year, the pot of gold was at the end of the season as the Dukes finish with 4 straight at home.
I suspect the Dukes will be favored in all 4 and have a chance to leverage homecourt advantage for key wins.
13-5 would guarantee JMU a spot as the #2 seed since they would hold tiebreakers over Marshall and Louisiana. Can the Dukes do it?

These should be high level games with both sides having a lot to play for and that should prepare the Dukes well for the do-or-die tournament games in March.

First is 15-10 ODU @ 15-9 JMU. Both are playing for a top 4 seed and the associated double bye. We didn’t see a fight last game but it was brewing then the referees reined in Derricko Williams after he tried to instigate multiple times. Pushing, pulling, grabbing, clutching, elbowing, maybe some punching will be seen if the game is as physical as the game in Norfolk. Should be fun to watch and highly contested.

Good news…Sule is back and Byington should be able to throw bodies at ODU and maybe even reconsider the full court press as a strategy to wear out opponents. The Dukes now have 10 rotational players and nobody in the Sun Belt can match that.

I'd hope too that Byington plays guys like Jerell and Xavier as ways to get cheap fouls to save Sule, Offurum, Wooden, Tak and Noah. I like the spark that Xavier can bring at times too. If they get a few minutes of playing time in big games like these and make the most of it, it should hopefully pay dividends next year when we lose Tak, Mezzie, and Sule.

Making the trip for Louisiana game and will def be parked in front of ESPN+ tomorrow. Its been a good season so far....but now it's crunch time and make or break how ee feel about the year.

Interested to see how Byingingon manages the rest of the way out. As someone said earlier.....no WIP now. Experimenting is over.

It would be fantastic to end the season with a 4-0 home series sweep. There’s lots of practical reasons to motivate the guys to win each game. I’m hoping/wishing for a 4-0 finish, but wouldn’t be surprised with a 2-2 record. The ODU and Marshall games will be tough.

Massive first three games, first a rival that trails us by one game followed by the two teams that lead us by one. ODU still has games against Southern Miss and Marshall, plus App State is no gimme so hopefully we can afford to drop a game and still stay ahead of them. Troy has stAte, Marshall, ULM, Coastal so 4-0 is in much easier reach for them but ULM and especially Marshall are tough games. We also have the head to head on them.

We could hopefully go 2-2 and finish top 4. I think 3-1 guarantees it... If we go 3-1 losing to ODU and they win out then that means Marshall lost to us and ODU both so we at least tie them and would have the head to head over Marshall. Troy goes 3-1 and they're still behind, go 4-0 and they tie us but that's another loss for Marshall. I'm not sure the exact tiebreaking procedures(can't find an up to date version) for a three way or even beyond head to head for a two way so I can't be sure, but at any rate it seems 3-1 is damn near a guarantee if not actually a guarantee.

2-2 definitely gets more concerning and we'll have to start cheering for some help. At least if ODU isn't one of the two losses then that secures our spot above them. We have the head to head with ULM so if the tiebreaker comes to that they can't jump us if we go 2-2. App State and GS could tie us and again I'm not sure about the tiebreakers... GS has a tough schedule remaining but App State not so much.

We get the three huge, tough games back to back to back starting tomorrow night. Let's at least go 2-1 there and then not fumble at the goal line against GSU, whether it's for locking up 2nd or 3rd or 4th

ODu is the biggest game of the year. need this one.

Win this and Louisiana on saturday, becomes the biggest game of the year.

Win saturday, and Marshall on Wednesday becomes the biggest game.

It’s been Curt all season, for some reason Offurum trips him up. He used to always call Wooden, Woodson, during some fast-paced action in the past. I can’t fault Curt at all, but for some reason calling him Mezie Offerman cracks me up, just imagining Nick Offerman’s mustache on him.

The officiating is God awful.

Why are we wearing purple at home?

Just as we go on a run, the officials say "not on my watch." They decided to call over the back, moving picks and whatever the hell that last one was just in the last few minutes after letting it all go until now.

Can someone PLEASE get in the ear of the TV people at JMU and get some sound from the crowd on the tv broadcasts?

It sounds like we have no one at the games, or they are broadcasting from a studio three time zones away.

All I can hear is that one guy berating the refs, which is a nice touch given how this game is being officiated.
