Liberty Bowl football Stadium is 1.5 miles from edge of main Memphis campus. Fed Ex Forum is downtown and is 6 miles from campus right off Beale St.

I understand your point...your numbers are just way off.

I stand corrected. I'd like to add that I am not rooting against Memphis, I think ya'll should be on deck for the next call-up.

I've always considered Marshall very underrated as a potential power league call-up. The university brings a lot to the table in both academics and athletics. Folks (including some on this board) unfairly undervalue Marshall. I've probably been guilty of doing so myself.

On a side note: The late and legendary funny man Soupy Sales attended Marshall.

As did Billy Crystal.

Persoannly, I think Marshall is great! One of the things that hurts Marshall is the small TV market.

Well it's not Boise State

The answer is Fresno State. If you put a gun to my head I'd say Tulane next, as they have enough resources and would easily win the Presidents' votes because of their academics.

But I think anyone added after SDSU and SMU would not be joining a P5 conference, since an opening would only occur if the top schools leave. In which case the standards start falling and many will be eligible. Come 2030 you could see as many as 6-8 schools brought in as replacements for exiting schools.
