Yeah, they outplayed us. Every time I thought we were getting back into it they’d steal the momentum right back. Congrats Troy.

Some good games tonight. Watched the last seconds of both App/CCU and JMU/TXST. Conference seems pretty wide open at the moment.

Hell, I didn't think we'd win 3 conference games, period!

I didn’t think we’d win three conference games either.

Well, so long as it’s a loss for App I don’t care how it comes about. 04-cheers

Should JMU get past TXST on Thursday, beating App St. would be a wonderful 4-0 start to conference play for the Dukes, and help maintain the SBC’s Net.

So much for your “anticipated” 4-0 start. 05-stirthepot Not a pretty win, but we’ll take it.

A team that won 1 game out of conference then going in gang busters in Conference just makes the conference weak. Hopefully it won't keep happening or the Sun Belt will never get good enough to be a multi bid league.

South Alabama proves to be far less adept at brick laying than AState. We can't even win at being bad...

Jags win 63-45. No word yet if the ticket holders who went blind watching this game will get free optometry appointments.

I just got home and I’m sleepy as hell. That game was boring. Seeing the scores from league tonight is 03-lmfao

That is crazy... Kind of a wild night in the Fun Belt, I really hoped JMU/USM/Marshall would really roll for a while and hopefully get more games upgraded to linear.

The only team ODU misses this year is ULM. Was bummed when I saw that at the start of the year but now it looks like it might be a blessing in disguise.

How many more does ULM have to win to get linear? I’ll
be a believer this year if we win our next two games against USM and the Cajuns.

Troy got back to their roots of playing stifling defense. They have been out of sorts on D for the past few games.
I thought ODU was going to take the lead near the end.

ODU has some really good players, especially Scott-Grayson. He couldn't miss, no matter who he had in his face.

Don't get me wrong, I am very happy the way ULM has started conference play. No way in hell I thought we would win 3 conference games this year let alone start out 3-0. That said, Richard is playing only 7 guys and outside of Bafutto our other starters are averaging almost 38 minutes/game. That's going to be a problem the deeper into the season we get. We really need a guy that can come in and give our starters 3 or 4 minutes of break time.

congrats UL ... y'all made us look like a HS team last night that owned us for 40 mins...

that's four consecutive games where Haase has appeared weak/tired and a tad lost in transition at times ... we're missing wide open passes, taking poor shots, too many turnovers, etc...

also, I have no clue what Ladner was thinking late with his lack of fouling/clock management ... that was a head scratcher...

I did get one wish ... the refs let 'em play (again)...

if we take last night's play into Monroe, ULM will wear us out...

I saw the Barstool Marshall account complaining about ESPN+’s pbp announcers…I know that for football the school provides their own pbp crew, that’s the same for basketball is it not? And if so, he’d be criticizing his own Marshall brethren.

I was at the game, and I was also a bit surprised about that also. The only thing I could think of was maybe the coach figured it would be too little too late? I was impressed with the Cajun defense, especially in the first half. I think the Golden Eagles double and triple teaming Brown was a big factor in the game, allowing the guards to be open. Next, we get GA State Saturday night, and they always play tough against the Cajuns.

USM chose to take Brown out of the game and they had some success as he only had two field goals. But with the defense playing him the way they did, Brown was content to set screens inside which enabled Fulks to get a career high in points.

The goal was to limit Crowley and Haase to 24 total points. They got 23.

Pinckney is a really good player.

The surprising thing is the game was never in question. Cajuns took a 14-4 lead, stretched it to 14 at the half and USM got no closer than seven in the second half.

Good game Eagles. USM definitely has some guys that can go. Cajuns defense played extremely well last night.
