An open plea to Mr. Briggs to engage the power of the pen regarding the disaster that a Candle-coached Toledo Rockets football team has become. It’s time.

So many times, he says we have to do better, we have to prepare better, etc. Broken record!

I just received my yearly pledge reminder from the athletic department. I wanted to return it noting that I would not make my pledge this year until Candle is fired. My wife said I shouldn’t do it. Still thinking about it.

not sure you can blame him for a pick that 90% of the country made plus Vegas had OSU as 7.5/8 point favorities....at this point I suspect he is waiting until after MACC game to give his view on Candles future

Looks like Ranger forced his hand on the article he wrote. Blair gave some views on Candle that was pretty well laid out. Basically, he wins the championship and he is (very likely) back. But the unanswered question is - how much of an extension does he give him? He's not going to answer that now and definitely not in an interview with a sports reporter.

What I have to wonder with Kulo and Kehres is whether or not they are jumping in to get the team fired up. Don't wait for Candle to handle it. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission if you know it needs to be done by someone. Act like you want a head coaching job some day.

The player leadership needs to ? the team up. Not every Rocket team gets to play for a MAC title.

Yes winning the MACC is huge. But you looked horrible most of the year doing it. Imagine 2 more wins, 10-3 heading into a bowl game and on the brink of a top 25 ranking. Then, I’d understand people mad if others were complaining.
