Agreed. I don't think I've ever wrung my hands so much while my team was leading 26-0!

Aside from the endings being completely different, the feeling about the program after both games is also completely different.
I did not feel good about the future after that one. Losing at home and to Colgate was frustrating. I was very, VERY concerned about our defense moving forward.
I read on the Texas State board that apparently we were very "salty" after Texas State took Withers.
I don't know about you guys, that but that is absolutely not the way I remember it. I remember being surprised that he left for them, but I wasn't bitter about it. The more the offseason progressed, the more we learned about the bridges he was burning (that he apparently also burned with them). It felt like we were trying to warn them and the reactions from some were in the line of 'you're just mad he's gone' or something like that.
Withers definitely did some things for JMU, but perhaps the best thing he ever did was leaving when he did. I don't think the program would be where it is today had Withers stayed even one more year.

By salty I think what they meant was we were telling them that he was going to be a disaster and they didn't believe us.

Yeah in hindsight they realize the JMU fans glad to see him go were right and that they should've seen that as a bad sign. In the moment I can definitely see how it'd seem like "You're breaking up with me? Good, I never loved you anyway and I was gonna break up with YOU!" 03-lmfao

What!? Why haven’t the Bobcats looked to lure Alex Wood from UD? 03-lmfao

Advanced degree (PhD) in winning playoff games is required for the position.
