The ASUN and WAC shared an autobid this year since neither had enough qualified teams to hold their own autobid. WAC only had 4 eligible. ASUN had 5.

WAC will have 5 but only 3 eligible. SFA. ACU and Southern Utah. Tarleton State and Utah Tech are not eligible until 2024 from what I can find.

Hopefully with a full year knowing the Wac/ASUN need to partner again they can find a way to clear schedules and make sure those 7 ellidgable teams all play eachother.

Having only seven eligible combined in the WAC and ASUN equals only ONE BID again next season IMO.

It would seem pretty difficult to get a second unless things fell JUST right.

As long as KSU don't go to FBS scholarships next year, they will be eligible as well.

They don't go to CUSA next year. Unless I missed something.

It'd be kinda foolish to prepare to move to FBS by not adding any scholarships. They will be FBS in 24.

Of course. Just like Jax St and SH did this season. So, I doubt there will be any need for KSU to join the new merged FCS football conference with the rest of the ASUN and WAC. They won’t be eligible. I assume that would leave y’all as an FCS Indy next season.

Maybe, but I don’t see it happening. The new merged league will provide for 8 conferences games without KSU joining for a lame duck season.

We certainly don’t want to see another season of playing a transition team with more scholarships who’s going to buy themselves a fake trophy and act like they won something they didn’t all over social media. Lol.

I guess someone didn’t get the memo about being ineligible. Haha.
