Ha. Or not.

Should be a great and very important series.

What makes the conference more money? TxSt winning or UL winning? May the odds be ever in your favor!!!

The more teams in the NCAA tournament, the better it is for the conference. Georgia Southern is in, Texas State is about 97% in, Coastal Carolina is about 85% in, Louisiana is about 50-50. So it's probably better for the conference if the Cajuns win the series.

UL has TxSt and LR. Can’t see the SBC getting four in this year. Next year, yes, four will be likely with 5 a long shot. Seeing as how the SBC is projected to be the third ranked conference next year. But as for this series, I feel even with a sweep of TxSt, UL won’t get in or if the do, Coastal drops out. So, seeding wise, a TxSt win or sweep is what the conference wants.

You asked what made the conference more money. My answer was having more teams in the NCAA tournament. One way for that to happen is for Louisiana to win the series against Texas State (2-1) because that does not cause the Bobcats great harm but tremendously helps the Cajuns.

All three of these are viable at large candidates, but Coastal has the best resume of the three. Cajuns are harmed by playing so many teams with losing records at the end of the season. They will likely fall out of at large contention if they do not win at least one, and preferably two games, in San Marcos.

If we win the last 2 series we will be 11-2 in series this year, only
Losing to Troy and USM. Considering how strong our OOC schedule is, it would be a travesty to get left out when you think about it. We would only have 1 conference series loss in the 5th ranked conference and our other is to a team fighting to host. Hopefully the committee will look
At our complete resume not just RPI.

Plus that would push us over 15+ road wins. The committee definitely notices that stuff.

We left the SLC as tourney champs.
We left the WAC as regular season champs.
We will leave the SBC as the toilet champs.

I get it, but we used to be the class of DFW, but now TCU and DBU are clearly better. We used to compete regularly with you guys, but now clearly aren’t in the same level.

. .. and We used to have a Football Program . . . that actually won games. Just because you’re in a Bad place at the moment doesn’t mean it’ll always be that way (at least that’s my hope re: FB).

I can’t see you guys, with your size and resources staying down for too long. Hope we continue to meet (even if there’s less on the line) OOC.
