Agree with all the other great UAB fans on this subject. We should continue to play as many D3 teams as possible until we can soon fulfill our dream to move out of that cavernous Bartow arena and into someplace more suited to our needs. Maybe an arena that holds 3,500? We can always remove the curtains on both ends when playing our bigger opponents.

Come on, you are smarter than that. Please point out where someone said we should play more D3 teams? I think everyone here is in agreement with improving our home slate. Please point out one poster that says we should not. I'll be waiting that reply.

Just because a lot of us do not care to play them doesn't mean we do not want to improve our home schedule or even overall schedule. First of all they are not going to play us until several folks quite honestly die. Even if we did play them I would to take any of my grand kids and subject them to their fans who can be really nasty in person at an event. If we play them lets knock them out of the NCAAS.

Second they are not the only Power Conference school that has played us before in Bartow and can play us again in the future. Quite honestly I would rather play a NC State, Pitt, Michigan, West Virginia, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Penn State, Nebraska, South Carolina than them.

There are literally 60 Power conference programs that would schedule UAB somewhere before Tuscaloosa would so don't give me that horse ****.

Not our home slate, our OOC slate. If that means we lose some crap home game, then so be it.

I couldn't care less. UAB basketball's identity is not contingent on Bama at all, in any way. They can go pound sand with their imagined P5 ego trip. I'm content to be 1-0 against them till the end of time.

All I know is that Bama fans and boosters cannot play nice, and beating them won’t win any respect. It’ll just make them mad and stir up hate.

I’d prefer to coexist and just take 1-0 for all time.

Alabama not playing UAB actually makes us look better in my opinion. If we continue to be a top 50 football and basketball team (hopefully better) and we never have to make contact with Alabama then they look bad for not playing us. I think we actually have something to lose now by playing them. I don't want to read article or the little brother vs. big brother bull. We've built a good athletic department now and it will get washed if Alabama beats us. That being said I loved baseball sweeping UAT
