20 years ago I would have said heck yeah. Now, meh. Their AD has made it clear they have no interest and if I'm Mark I don't waste the time or bandwidth. The main thing is that the Board isn't an impediment as it was for nearly 40 years. They have our number if they change their minds

I would like to see a two-day holiday classic where UAB plays them one night and Auburn the next with an in-state D1 filling out the field.

Yes it would be nice w/ the renovated BJCC to bring back the old Arby's Hardwood Classic & maybe have a rotating order of state teams playing in it vs some decent teams but like others, they have our # & know where we are if they wish to make it happen

I have never thought it to be in UAB’s interest to play Alabama.

I have no interest in that. Lets just let them be seperate in basketball/football as they chosen to be.

Don’t think we ought to beg for it but that would be an undeniably exciting basketball series. Them and the board treat us like **** but that makes it even more intriguing to play them and beat them. I’m all for it. Does it happen? Doubt it.

Would be the highlight of any OOC schedule, but I agree it’s not happening anytime soon.

It would enhance the visibility, interest and importance of basketball in the state. Probably would benefit in-state recruiting as well. I'm fine with being 1-0 against Bama until my death but I hope that UAB and Bama meet in the Dance before I pass away.

I don’t think it would do anything much for basketball, and neither school needs it.

All I know is that Bama fans and boosters cannot play nice, and beating them won’t win any respect. It’ll just make them mad and stir up hate.

I’d prefer to coexist and just take 1-0 for all time.

I'm at the point where the Barn can go pound sand as well as long as they have that coach that wants every advantage before he signs a contract and a lot of their fans (not all for you dual allegiance folks) Keep acting like jackasses. If we meet the Turds I want to knock them out of the NCAAs and make them say we only care about football anyway after the game.
