I wonder if the AD is going to remind him of his quote after their meeting in March about hoping to bring in three portal players. Looks like he forgets what he says in his press conferences especially about playing zone when his man to man 'd' is being scored on at will. Goran should not see any playing time since he can't guard a grandparent or even out rebound them. He's been on the team three years and he doesn't know what 'd' is so why would anyone expect him to become a player now. He's on the team to keep the GPA up for the team.
Yeah that's a little disheartening. I'm trying to stay positive LOL
Oh, I'm positive. Positive we didn't do enough. But there's positive and then there's irrational. Some of dem fanbois are irrationally optimistic. I don't see how we added through subtraction. We lost Beyers and George, 2 strong veteran bench players and occasional starters, and gained the VMI dude and Handlotion (not a typo, I'm not saying Handlogton.) The other players would have to make tremendous leaps in ability and Dan doesn't instill enough discipline to get these guy to workout on their own in the offseason. It just doesn't add up, even with the perceived lesser conference. If we're better at all it won't be CUSA better, it will be SBC better.
we gained FR Conner as well as FR Handlogten and JR Curfman.
but i agree, that it's very reasonable to assume that Conner and Handlogten will likely not replace what we had in Beyers and George, at least, not immediately or not this year.
Conner looks like he likes to stay involved/moving, like OAK.
i hope that Toussaint and McKey will be a little better and we'll see if Fricks contributes.
i think Curfman's numbers (from VMI) won't fall off much if at all- by all appearances, and by what has been floated, he is a very confident young man, a leader- we'll see if that's true.
we know what we have in Kinsey- and Taylor's work ethic is team tops.
not sure about Early, Braun, Sarenac and Miladinovic as far as playing time but i expect their time will have drop off some, unless there are surprises.
we know it's been said that some players will switch or switch back to positions they primarily played at prior to last season. that could help.
so it's true there will be very few changes overall and it could very well be Danny's last year. but, i hope not because i simply don't want failure any year. there's always a chance that he'll totally turn it around and maybe anything less would be total failure. i always think of the saying that you can't do the same thing and expect different results and Danny is very close to doing just that.
