The Big XII map is ridiculous.

The Big XII map is ridiculous.

BYU, Cincinnati, WVU, and UCF are all on islands compared to the Central US Corridor that the other schools are located.

The Rust Belt

however remote the chance, there was a little tiny bit of nerves that Marshall could end up in the MAC. Marshall has always been an outlier and some might say, an outcast

RE: G5 Conferences Map
Everyone has always talked about the SBC and CUSA reorganizing into an east/west conference. Now we need to start talking about the AAC and BigXII. They could split that right at the river, 14 Big XII teams and 12 AAC teams.

I still think the AAC over reached and panic added to many CUSA teams. I’m over excited we didn’t lose teams, but there were some SBC schools that I thought would have been better adds. But I also look at product over metro area.

Half of the SEC isn't in the South East. One could argue that more than half isn't in the South East but I guess it depends on what you consider South East.

RE: G5 Conferences Map
Take a look at the gaps on the map.

There is a massive absence of any FBS conference school in the northern middle of the country.
The far northeast is free of FBS as well.

The Atlantic coast from Norfolk to Boston is a lot more dense than I realized.

Four metros have three FBS schools: Bay area, DFW, Miami, and RDU.

The most dense section of the country is where the Big Ten and the MAC overlap..

There is a backwards checkmark from Arkansas State to Clemson with less than 100 miles from one school to the next. Jacksonville State and Troy are just off from that arc.
