For sure! The guy simply had no chance at MSU with the legendary Joey Hauser on the roster. Yes, the Joey that Bob Welchersham bet $20K would be in the NBA in the 2020-21 season but is a returning Spartan for the 2022-23 season, two years later. I'm thinking Joey might be staying to qualify for retirement benefits at MSU.
Yeah because getting a quality education sucks, huh?

Six years in college with a typical athlete major field of study of "Communications". Perhaps he is getting a double major in "Sports Management" as well. I don't begrudge the guy for staying in East Lansing in his mid-twenties, most guys don't get the opportunity to do so and he clearly has no other opportunity to play basketball on a big stage anywhere else in North America.

He is not staying for the education, he just wants to pay meaningful basketball for another year and is holding out the slim hope that he can follow his brother to the NBA. Honestly I'm Ok with that, just don't hide behind academics.

One thing about communications.

At the graduate level a lot of communications is 'communication sciences and disorders' not just whatever folks think of as 'communications." (I have no idea what is thought in undergrad communications.) That is the course of study for occupations known as "Speech language pathologists." (SLPs)

That is a highly technical field especially those in the medical track who also deal with medical issues like swallowing disorders, etc. and deal with (usually) older people with aphasia. Think those problems affect those with strokes, memory care issues, etc. Others can be young children with special needs some of which may be in special ed program. Developmental delays. Stuttering. And so on. Commonly found in children who are autistic.

It can be a 'white coat' occupation and after Monday's discussions on NIL, I thought I saw someone in a white coat coming for me... 03-lmfao

Yes. Makes sense. Another Duquesne guard from the Detroit area transferred to BG.

Duquesne also has a foreign center in the portal who I'd be interested in. One of those 6' 11" 240 African players who look like very good rebounders.

Are you referring to Duquesne transfer 6’11 Mounir Hima? If so, I coached him briefly before the season started at St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, NJ. Taught him how to shoot the three-ball. He was deadly. Just raised his arm and flipped his wrist. Wasn’t allowed to shoot it at St.B or at Duquesne. Never watched him play in a game.

Yes. He is the type of big man I'd take a chance on. Yes, I'd go for him and Acoff the guard from Detroit.

This doesn't matter much (if at all), but we didn't offer either Hima or Acuff out of high school.

It was under Murphy's regime, so it's not surprising we didn't get a kid out of Detroit. I'd love to see Stan get Acuff especially.

BTW, I have a typo: It is Acuff.

Here is a HM transfer from our state of Michigan. If Heath can win and be a force in the conference maybe we get these future transfers:

Here is a high 3 star (almost 4 star) 6 foot 3 inch shooting guard signed by UofD from GCU.

Stan needs to land a couple 3 stars to play with Noah…… can he do it?
