Impressive with the selectivity. Only 12 players on the first team. They should really do well if they play another team with only five players, don't you think?

He was a good defender up and down. That’s about it. I’m sure there would have been improvement and he would have been a starter, but we didn’t have a good year with him as a valuable player.

Well, he has a special natural leaping ability very few possess. Now he needs to develop a skillset, motor, toughness, heart if he wants to take it to the next level. We will see if Memphis can pull more talent/potential out of him.

No question he had natural abilities. I was hoping he’d stay, but such is the way of the transfer portal these days.

Agreed, historically the two major reasons players would go to a juco were grades and before the transfer portals exemptions to sitting out made it where most no longer have to sit out players could still play competitively between where they were and where they wanted to go. Same kind of thing used to be true for FBS football players going to FCS schools. Now they look for another FBS school first.

Looking it up would be a FERPA violation so we can't say for sure that's not what happened with Taylor. But other transferring starters (for example Marek Nelson) have appeared on the academic honor roll in the past.

We've got exactly one (1) returning player, Justin Johnson, plus one returning walk-on who never played.
