was it really $40 per ticket for the final?

i thought $20 for a quarterfinal session was good. they should have family deals since taking my wife and 2 kids got expensive.

Looks like a pretty decent sized crowd. Definitely not embarrassing for the league on tv. Sure the distribution of fans isnt the sideline where the camera is, but its probably the biggest crowd for a final in DC.

Also Bash having another bad finals. They were getting run out of their game. Put up a Bruiser like 12 points in the first half. Down by 30 at one point, down 26 at half.

It was worse than 2019

I've been saying for over 20 years now that the format for the CAA Tournament is a joke. The championship game MUST be held on a campus site a few days after the semi-finals. If that were done, there would have been 5,200 at the final. Even if Drexel hosted the final, there would have been more fans attending at the DAC.
And while that was an exciting game, I thought it was a poorly played game by 2 exhausted teams. It would really be nice to let the teams refresh for a few days before heading to the finals. You'd have a better quality game if they did.

The argument that I'd get about playing the final at a campus site is that "it would make our conference look small time". Well guess what? The CAA IS small time. No use pretending that they're the Big East.

With N/S divisions upcoming, would it be feasible to have two separate 7 team CAA tournaments with the winners playing each other for the auto bid and the higher ranked teams home court a week later. This would allow the northern team to play in NY/PA/CT and the southern teams to play in VA/NC/SC

Knowing the league the southern schools will play in the north, the northern schools in the south and the championship will be in Wyoming with play-by-play via telegraph but only if you buy the league's NFT.

RE: 2022 CAA Men's Basketball Championships
divisions work if there's balance in the conference which i guess there is right now. it was a north/south title game. the brackets worked out that way by accident with northeastern, towson, drexel, and delaware in the top half. it might not work out that way every year though and a crap team might get in over a really good team.

does the league pay for tv? it comes off as a made for tv event like most sports these days. it's in the venue is perfect for it. major city and small arena that most people aren't familiar with. people watching probably assume there's a second level of seats on both sides like every other arena when there isn't. the caa doesn't seem to care about getting in person attendance based on the ticket prices i've seen/heard. $400+ for ticket books for my whole family kept me from spending the weekend down there...and probably did the same for a lot of other people.

the alternative is having a zoo in a campus gym. i like watching those games and i hope the nec fight doesn't discourage it in the future. we can't have nice things any more. i
