She is entering her senior year, will be on the squad starting the 2023/24 season.

Amazing to me that 8 teammates transferred. Last year, with those 8 on the team, it seemed like the future was bright for ODU. Now I’m not so sure. But I’ll root hard for those who stayed and the incoming group. Just hope there not something systemically unpleasant within the program that would cause such a large exodus.

Lanay Wheaton - Louisiana (11.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 36%3pt)
Victoria Morris - Rutgers (4.1ppg, 12.8 minutes/game)
Ash’a Thompson - Houston (0.8ppg, 0.4rpg, 4.8 minutes/game)
Mackenzie Smith - St. Bonaventure (4 games played)
Skylah Travis - Missouri (4 games played)

Both the men's and women's teams have cobbled together squads from the transfer portal. I don't think either team was successful (meaning overall attrition was net negative), but I'm hoping for the best.

huge losses for this team. Really sad seeing how far our wbb has fallen.

It was a harder pill to swallow watching ODU go from national relevance to a team with a losing record in the CAA. Still, Nikki had ODU on the right track. Her last season, ODU was 22-3 and likely going to win the conference.

She showed us it can be done with the right coach. I just hope Jones is either it or we move on to someone who is sooner than later!
