But couldn't even be named CUSA Freshman of the Year. Some WR from Charlotte Id never heard of was. Ali had the most TDs in the nation for any skill player not a QB. Just another reason to get out of the dumpster that is CUSA.
I didn't realize he had 25 tds last year. Is he staying? That will be how it goes for us in the future too. If a player breaks out the money will come calling.

So far yes. Ali only had two offers, 1)Hampton University (Where Coach Huff played) and Marshall. eing from Shaker Heights OH (Clevelad sub burb) I was surprised at least a few MAC schools hadn't offered him. And 2)Marshall.
25 Total TDs
22 On the ground
2 receiving
1 98 yard kick return on a fake reverse end around
Rasheen Ali 98 Yard Kick Return
All 25 Of Rasheen Ali's TDs, plus a few extra plays

He had 45 receptions too. A RB that can catch will get you drafted and he can play special teams. I bet 2022 will be his last season in college if he breaks 1k again and stays healthy.

I looked him up and noticed he only had 2 offers. Maybe he didn't play against good competition and that is why he didn't have a bunch of offers, but he is 6'0" and can catch. That should have gotten him some offers.

Usually no matter how big or small the school is, if you are in or around a major city in OH (Cincy, Columbus, Dayton, Youngstown, Cleveland) and you have decent numbers you will usually at least get a few MAC school offers. Ali flew almost completely under the radar.
He will be in the NFL for sure. Good luck to Marshall keeping him. He will be able to accomplish all of his goals in Huntington and has one of the best running back coaches in college football as a head coach.

That reeks of butt hurt but Ali is the real deal . Marshall is taking one of the best bowl record in FBS on donw the road to a legitimate Conference. The Sun Belt >Coosa

Huff has been around some great RB in Saquan Barkley, Miles Sanders and Najee Harris, two first and a second round pick.
But our RB coach right now is nothing to sneeze about in Telly Lockette. Lockette was the HC at Miami Central (60-10) and the OC at Miami Northwestern. He oversaw 72 of his players sign with D IA schools including Marshall's Rakeem Cato and Tommy Shuler.

I'll take Huff's pedigree over Lockette, as I believe most people would. Point being that Ali is literally in the best place he could be right now.

I agree. I would have loved to seen what Huff could have done for Brenden Knox for one year. I think he could have corrected a few thing that would have helped Knox be more explosive than he already was.
