TCU doesn't have a course either, it is a bit more challenging for a urban university unless you build it a ways from campus. TCU does most of their golf practice at Colonial Country Club (an annual PGA tour stop a mile or so from campus).

Not a bad replacement I would think, but I am no golfer lol.

My understanding from being a bit more than a arms length away from it is that the biggest hurdle is in recruiting because when a school owns a course the auxiliary facilities that are built for the golf team (special locker rooms, team rooms, private indoor and outdoor hitting bays, etc...) are sometimes very extravagant whereas the TCU golf team isn't getting that type of special treatment at Colonial.


Ahhh that makes total sense.
