They haven't tweeted CAA numbers yet. They started with the P5 conferences and have done AAC, CUSA, MWC, Big East, WCC, Big West, and SBC.

What about App State? I’m guessing either 3 or 2 based on their placement?

Jeffrey Springs and Jaylin Davis. I think both are active. Springs pitches for the Rays and Davis is an outfielder with the Giants.

I'm curious to know who each school's biggest name baseball player is. For ODU it has to be Justin Verlander (P) - currently with the Astros.

Here are some for South Alabama, the most recognizable probably being Gonzo

Luis Gonzalez
Marlon Anderson
Jon Lieber
Juan Pierre
David Freese
Mike Mordecai
Turner Ward
Lance Johnson
Adam Lind

Travis Swaggerty was a first rounder in 2018 (10th overall selection) and Ethan Wilson got picked up in the second round this year. Those are a couple of names I'm hoping to see do big things in the next few years.

Baseball season is going to be exciting. With Marsall getting a new stadium, they should really reap the recruiting rewards by competing with good teams in the East like ODU and Costal Carolina.

Hunter Pence is probably our ( UTA) best known since 2000. We had John Lackey in 1998

FWIW, Luis Gonzalez is probably my favorite player of all time. I watched him play a ton with the Columbus Mudcats as a nerdy, baseball-obsessed 12/13-year-old, and he was super fun to watch, extremely talented, and one of the nicest professional athletes I've ever encountered. Just a class act all around. I'll defend him against misplaced PED accusations until the day I die.

Coastal has 12 overall, in its history, several more on the way.

Most well known… historically, would be Kirt Manwaring or Mickey Brantley, both 2nd round picks; recent history, Tommy LaStella.

Do the minors count or only if they make the majors? I don’t know the number for JMU but I think only a handful ever made it up to the major league team. This year JMU has the top college draft prospect though, so maybe that’ll change.

You must not follow baseball. A sure Hall of Famer. A great pitcher.

For Southern Miss it would be
All time - Brian Dozier (retired) of the Twins/Dodger/Nationals
Current - Nick Sandlin, RP Cleveland
Of note - RP Chad Bradford who was one of the feature players in the movie Moneyball
