Who is that?

I know him as the guy married to Kate Upton.

For Southern Miss it would be
All time - Brian Dozier (retired) of the Twins/Dodger/Nationals
Current - Nick Sandlin, RP Cleveland
Of note - RP Chad Bradford who was one of the feature players in the movie Moneyball

Dang good movie.

Couldn’t resist.

I don't think any from the Sun Belt.

I doubt it happens but we need a new coach a long with the new stadium. I don't trust Jeff Waggoner's recruiting style to ever field a program. He likes JuCos way to much.

The stadium can be pushed back as long as they want now. The last Marshall coach to take them to a regional and was promised a stadium when he took the job in 1968, the legendary Jack Cook passed away last month at 95. I was hoping he would get to witness the new stadium opening. Cook was the Marshall manager and coach from 1968 to 1995.

As bad as Marshall's baseball is we've had 2 first round picks since 2000. But our most notable players would be Rick Reed (MLB 1988-2003) and Jeff Montgomery (MLB 1987-1999).

I don't think any from the Sun Belt.

And yet the OP says “Baseball players sent to the MLB since 2000” even though most of the teams listed weren’t even in the Sun Belt in 2000, so not sure what point you’re trying to make. You suggesting players sent to the MLB pre-SBC somehow trumps a National Championship win pre-SBC?

You made a true statement, so did I. Neither has anything to do with this thread .

Most well known… historically, would be Kirt Manwaring or Mickey Brantley, both 2nd round picks; recent history, Tommy LaStella.
