Oops, make that 112 to 41 in favor of ACU. The Wildcats have played Howard Payne well over a hundred times down the years and continue to do so but now the Wildcats are division one and in the WAC and HPU is still division III so a bit unbalanced talent level.

Lamar drops their final non=conference game to ULM 80-77. This was the first game in a month that Lamar had three of their best four guards play in a game. Lamar is off until opening conference at Sam Houston on the 30th.

NMSU beats UTPB 84-59. Jans rested three starters... Sir Jabari Rice, Johnny McCants, and Nate Pryor. Also, Donnie Tillman is still not playing due to injury. Teddy Allen is still dominant with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. However, the main bright spot is the growing confidence of 6'8 freshman Chi Chi Avery. He had 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. The point guard situation is still a work in progress. Nate Pryor is probably our most steady PG. Mario McKinney has tremendous upside (ultra-athletic), but he plays out of control at times. And, Virshon Cotton who is probably the most skilled of the three PGs but his ball handling can be sketchy.

I’m getting flashbacks of 2020! Too bad there isn’t a vaccine that keeps you from testing positive for Covid.

The GCU @ Nevada game has also been cancelled due to COVID protocol within the GCU program.

UTRGV has now cancelled their game tonight due to COVID protocol within their program.

GCU athletes are vaccinated by the love from their lord and savior Jesus Christ, so this is certainly a stupid cancellation.

Either way I’m sure replacements can be found. GCU has like 100,000 “students”, someone from Pacific to Atlantic that takes online classes through the “school” can surly hoop.

GCU Football has more fans than shsu.

Hard to see that many games cancelled in one evening. I feel for you all though as we had it happen earlier.

UVU handled Washington as I expected. 68-52. Getting practice beating purple uniform teams. Second P5 win this OOC season.

Now imagine how many fans Tarleton must have to get passed up in expansion for SHSU.

Good for turtleton. Air Force is a terrible team and program. That is a game that should be easily won. Air Force has lost to every halfway decent team they’ve played this year and padded their win total with a bunch of cupcakes.

Air Force ranks well below RGV and Dixie, and above SHS, Chicago State and Lamar.

The 7 teams AFA has beat are 16-52 combined. The teams they've lost to are 18-21 combined.

AF is in the MWC. The MWC is #8 according to the NET and the WAC is #14. Any win over a team in a conference ranked ahead of us is a great win.
