I think we'll still be underdogs to WVU, despite the game being in B'ham.

That could be, but UAB has two easy games (Millsaps and Grambling State) before the WVU game. WVU plays UCONN and Kent State between now and then.

Today KenPom has it UAB 71 - WVU 67.

I’m not sure at large is even possible with CUSA attached to the name at this point. I think WKU beating top 100 Kenpom Alabama, Memphis, UAB, LaTech teams last season and not getting one spells it out for us. I mean, maybe if we won out and lost the CCG close with a finish like 30-3, but I don’t see beating SLU being an indicator of an at large right now.

C-USA is a one-bid conference. Not changing my mind until proven otherwise. KenPom has UAB at 46 right now.

WKU was ranked 94th after losing to North Texas in the championship game, in overtime. Yes they had some great wins last season, but don’t forget they lost to Charlotte and ODU. Their KenPom ranking was never better than 68, and that was early in the season. They had to win the conference tournament to get in. There was no other way.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. If we win out in our OOC schedule and only get 1-2 loses in conference (a big if, CUSA looks improved this year), it’s possible. Belmont made it as an at large from the OVC a couple years back, so it’s possible, maybe not likely, but possible.

Glad we were able to better that mark. Especially on the road! Baby steps but positive! We came back against USC and UF but couldn't quite finish. The trends are looking good!
