Alo will go down as the least liked player ever to wear the uniform. He is universally disliked as a player. I can’t honestly think of anyone we dislike more.

We all didn’t like Wesley Witherspoon but not this much.

I disagree. ALo is an all around good guy, Wesley had some character issues in the beginning.

I know a lot of people feel like one of the reasons we do not have a good-great pg is because they know that ALo is going to get a lot of playing time whether he deserves it or not. I am not sure if that is true, but from the people I hear it from, I have to think there is some truth to it. Not to mention, like the commentator said earlier in the game.. if you are a pg, why in the world would you not want to come be the pg for Memphis with the talent out there... well, because ALo.

It's Penny's fault that Alo is in this position.

He should not be starting at this level, yet Penny has recruited big time players at every position except PG. It's almost like Penny has done this on purpose... ya think?

Could have handed boogie the keys but no he thought bates could be a combo guard and if not then just roll with a back up pg.

Alo is a great kid but a below average D-1 player.... period

He is where he is because he is basically Penny's kid.... thats a fact.

I hope he succeeds in life but he is not someone who needs to be on this team.

He’s a good back up pg,has his moments and plays good d but that it and it’s not his fault that he’s put in this position…that’s all on penny.

I agree 100%, Penny has caused most of the ALo problems.

I LOVE ALo. He loves Memphis and leaves it all on the floor every game. Now, he does some things to frustrate you as a fan, but how can you dislike him?

I love him as a player and for better or worse, he is our best point guard.

I like ALo fine, it's his limited skill-set that hasn't improved one bit in 4 years that I don't like.

As a PLAYER, can’t think of a more frustrating one to watch.

He should be playing at Southwest.

I love Lomax as a person. No way is he as disliked as KJ Lawson was. And I like KJ too. Don’t dislike any player. I did get frustrated with Deuce Ford and Sidney Coles.

Maybe dislike is too strong a word.

Alo is definitely the most frustrating.

Take your insecurities, that play out on a message board because you are disappointed that kids, a lot of Memphis kids, lost a basketball game, and find something else

We get it. Fans take an outsized emotional interest. That is what makes it fun, the vicarious WE in terms of winning and losing. And while some reaction or criticism is normal, this level of targeting a Memphis kid who dedicated his life to Memphis and to Penny and to the University of Memphis, but is not as great a player as many hoped he would be, and looks to max out as solid but flawed, is just cringeworthy (and more)

We get the raw conclusions, gee this team was over rated gee Bates was over rated, and I understand why people would make those conclusions after 6 games of a career, but for those who care about these things, this sickening thread should be a wake up call

Saw the funny joke in last night’s thread about breaking Lomax’ legs. Really funny. He has become the odd poster for so many’s assaults. And no, your critiques are not purely about basketball. We recognize that.

I’ll agree with that one. He is definitely hard to watch at times. Every third or fourth game he plays well, then the next game it’s back to the same thing. One step forward and two steps back. That was ok and understandable 3 years ago but now it’s mind boggling.
