RE: Other games of interest MBB 21-22
CofC goes on a huge 20-0 run to take down Chattanooga 68-66 for their first loss of the season. Big win on the road for them.

Good win for them.
Just wish it was the way it used to be when there were quite a few CAA teams notching good OOC wins.

Not the entire reason, but the CAA is good enough to get targeted by the P5 for transfers. These past few years the conference has been decimated by departure of our top level players.

And despite that this season there have been so many close calls. Would be nice if any of those close calls could start to turn the conferences way (not just this season). It truly is the difference from being a bottom mid major/high low major vs being a solid conference that has respect. It doesnt seem terribly far off, but who know. Would be nice if we could keep talent, but I dont see that changing any time soon

RE: Other games of interest MBB 21-22
Our best overall game to date was a win over Coastal Carolina. In that game, Fornes only played 21 minutes and took five shots(1-5). Harvey only played 11 minutes but he was 2-4 from the field, 2-2 from the FT line and scored 7 points with 2 assists and a steal. I expect Harvey to play a lot more going forward on a team that struggles on offense. Sims came off the bench and played 28 minutes, he ended up being the leading scorer with 13 points, and led with 8 rebounds, and was 3-7 from three. We had very balanced scoring with three in double figures and two almost there.
IMO, our best lineup to start is:
Phillips, Okauru, Harvey, White and Baker(depending on size of big men).
Bring in Sims, Thomas, Fornes, Kelly
We need to start off this final stretch of OOC play with a win.

Don't disagree, but highly doubt Oglesbee will be riding the pine.

Cougars lost a heart breaker at Furman and were winning the whole game. They are for real! Tough break but man they are good!!

Ogelsby rode the pine. Biggest surprise, and worst move IMO, was bringing Phillips off the bench and playing him for just 16 minutes. The only reason that makes sense was so that Sims could cover Joe Bryant, their 220 lb. Sr. PG.

I think Davidson, Gardner Webb, Bucknell and Drexel against spread . Thus far 4-2-1 ATS.

Campbell and VCU in a tight game. Campbell handling the press well and really good on offense. They are going to be a handful for the Hawks'.

After wins over South Carolina and Winthrop, Coastal is now 4-2. Our win over them is looking better. Hoping we are going more in that direction.

That’s good to see, but their success is only helpful if we get our act together and start winning ourselves.
I’m kind of ready for OOC games to be over and get to seeing how we compete in conference.

Watching Norfolk St. @ Hampton at the moment. These 2 teams have been long-standing rivals. It's 53-53 with 3:11 left in the contest.

Oh my goodness. Hampton just won on a miracle 3-pointer at the buzzer, 58-57. The announcers' call is amazing too, lol.

Karma for Hofstra blocking every attempt to get SBU to join the CAA.
