Our free throws were horrendous!

Man.. I really like Jelly Walker's game. Reminds me a lot of squeaky. 44-36 at the Half.

Pretty good 1st half. Scored 44 while missing a lot of makeable shots and FTs. Impressed with UNCA — they have some good players. They have made some really tough shots while we have missed some easy ones. I expect we stretch this out to win fairly comfortably but they are no slouch and will be a tough out in their league

That’s about my only real gripe. I’d like to see a little bit better defensive beyond the arc, but Asheville is just hitting shots. Good news is, free throws are correctable, assuming AK chooses to address them (shudders thinking about Ehsan’s FT philosophy)

We weren’t a good free-throw or three-point shooting team last year either… That’s unfortunate that it seems to have carried over to this year, I thought that we would have better shooters up and down the roster. Promising half. We seem to be playing much more up-tempo and exciting basketball. I understand why we played so slow tempo last year though

This is hard to watch as a UNCA fan. We're without Clayborne today and he is by far our best big. The point guards are playing terribly as well. If I was Mike Morrell, I'd be grilling them about turnovers. Unacceptable.

We just took it to a higher gear that UNCA didnt have. Making them look slow and confused.

This is my first time in Bartow Arena. I'm having fun. (Though I need to not have hot dogs for lunch on the day of a game.)

AK changed up our D too. So far not many clean looks for UNCA.

Why was he out?

I think you have looked pretty good outside of this 4 minute stretch. I think this will be the best team we've had in years.

Hope we empty the bench and get some minutes for Johnson, Lecure, Brown, Toney and Rongie.

Destroyed them on the offensive glass in the 2nd.

Man this is a deep team. There are guys down in our rotation who would have started on most of our teams the previous 5 years

Scoring 100 points against a real D1 team is highly impressive.

Dominant second half on both ends of the court. This team has the ability to be really good.

Nice start. Let's GO.

Very good opener. Lots of exciting things, plenty to work on, opponent that challenged us early and forced us to raise our game. Pretty much how I would want an opener to go.
