Such a beautiful map. The most beautiful map I’ve ever seen. Will be the greatest map anyone has ever seen

That’s about as good as it gets. Positioned perfectly. I think Atlanta may need to home base though. With strong programs committed and this location with this lineup with strong media we can flat out get after it and keep making quick meaningful progress. This group needs to stay together. Only the SEC has a footprint as productive.

App State went from having 2 games in a 4/5 hours radius. To now having 5 games.

Beautiful geography.
I’d say put yalls HQ in Atlanta but Georgia State seems more like an AAC team than SBC team.

we'll trade them for ECU straight up.

These are really cool.

I think they are also a good argument for C-USA to look at expansion teams in Missouri, Kentucky and even further north.

The AAC and SBC have monopolized the south eastern G5s.
Jacksonville State is the only FCS team I can think of in the “region”. That is ready for FBS.

I think C-USA adds a couple teams to shore up between LaTech and UTEP. Then needs to focuses on like Missouri State, Illinois State, NDSU, SDSU.
It has the most “untapped” potential. Stay out of the eastern time zone.

Why is Florida colored in?

Because everyone still wants to recruit there?
Because our conference basketball tournament is there?
Careless mistake?

The real reason is that the panhandle is really part of Alabama. All you have to do is ask any southern redneck where lower Alabama is located and they will tell you the panhandle of Florida.

Lol. You ain’t kidding. If there are any changes to be made in the states (and I don’t think there should be) it would be to carve the Fl panhandle up between AL and GA. That area is really entirely different from the rest of the state. Almost as bad as north and south La, lol

ODU went from:

Marshall: 7 hours
Charlotte: 5 hours

To

Marshall: 7 hours
JMU: 3.5 hours
App: 5.5 hours
Coastal: 5.5 hours

At some future point going to 16 with WKU and MTSU looks like it fills a nice geography need.

Looking at the map, I would estimate Birmingham or Huntsville would be about as close as you could be to picking a center. SEC is headquartered in Birmingham, so I would say Huntsville. Huntsville is growing and surpassed Birmingham as the largest city in the state, but Birmingham metro is still much larger. This past go round, I thought Huntsville would have been a nice location for the conference basketball tournament.

Please. Need to get out of New Orleans. Huntsville, Birmingham, or even Montgomery would be friendlier cities. New Orleans doesn't fit with SBC as most of the members are in medium to small, college towns. I know Lafayette, Mobile, Atlanta, and Norfolk aren't small.

Not likely.

Conference center moves from just in Mississippi near Alabama border to north Alabama.

You move and you will lose some staff and have to pay moving expenses of those who do move to gain what?

Question, are the olympic only schools staying? Not that I'm advocating kicking them out, I just don't know anything about them. Seeing them on the map reminded me that they are here, since most talk is around football.
