Hopefully it won’t happen but some suspect it could on Wednesday. Some App fans have ordered hundreds of rubber chickens to be distributed to students for our game.

Practices/Policies We'd Like the SBC to Implement...
Limit the number of times a team is forced to play midweek football games. It’s ridiculous that the Cajuns have to play 3 of their 6 home games on a Thursday or Tuesday. And before anyone chimes in with “but it grows your national brand” response, note that I am only proposing a cap on home games for a particular team and my cap is 2 games, which is one less than what the Cajuns had this year.
And maybe do some sort of cap on how often divisional opponents go to midweek. I’ve only travelled to Jonesboro once in the last decade because our games vs stAte are so frequently put on weekdays. Tx St games going to midweek are also terrible, which has happened before, because Cajuns fans love to travel to hill country. I don’t think we’ve ever played ULM on midweek, and can’t recall an instance where we’ve played USA on midweek.
CORRECTION: we played USA one time on midweek, 2015 on a Thursday in Mobile.

That’s awesome though. The App State & Coastal rivalry is something else already haha!

I actually was telling someone the other day I don’t understand why you play an entire regular season when almost each team makes the tournament. Regular season winner over 18, or 20 games if we were to increase, should be a sample size worthy of crowning a winner. It also avoids tournament upsets which hurts the SBC.
I’ll tell you why, M-O-N-E-Y. Plus it is fun.

Here's a policy/procedure I support 100%
Hire good officials! Put a little money into getting crews that know what the hell the rules are. We seriously have some of the most craptastic officials I've ever seen. I don't know where they find some of these guys! Is there a homeless program I'm unaware of?

The convenient part about the internet is that I can go to my team’s website and find their schedule from 2015. You can do the same. If you do so, you will see that the game was played on 11/12/15, which was a Thursday. Both UL’s and USA’s websites say the same.
When I typed “CORRECTION” did you really think I was going to post that with inaccurate information?

For some reason I thought you were an Arkansas State fan when I responded. We played Arkansas State on a Tuesday.

Not seating students behind the opposing team's bench. This behavior is getting out of control.

Was that a problem for y’all in Atlanta? I was at the game and honestly it seemed like hardly any GSU students were there.

I agree with the fact that it's getting out of control but I like the tradition. How about this: you throw something at an opposing player/coach you get charged with felony assault and expelled from school.

Or just the top four teams maybe?

Not at all. Some parents and a few fans, but hardly any students behind our bench. Previous trips our seats were behind our bench. We were put in the endzone this game. Since there was hardly anyone sitting there we helped ourselves to a 40 yd line seat. Thought y'alls student section was in the endzone with the band?

RE: Practices/Policies We'd Like the SBC to Implement...
From the Bobcat perspective (for Football) . . .
1. Allow TXST an extra 2 weeks of practice time before the season starts.
2. For all Conference Games, spot us 7 points on the scoreboard.
3. For all Conference Games where TXST has a lead going into the 4th quarter, the game is ended and TXST awarded the W.
4. For Conference Games played in San Marcos, y’all have to wear flags (one flag pulled constitutes a tackle).
5. For Conference Games played in San Marcos, no rushing our Quaterback, it’s simply too much pressure.
6. For Conference Games in San Marcos, any Interceptions by the opposition cannot be advanced.
7. For Bowl Eligibility, lower the Bar to 5 wins for TXST (we probably won’t hit it anyway.)

I agree basketball has the biggest issues. If we are a one bid league we need the best team going. A team making a run in the tourney and getting a lower seed or play-in game is bad for the conference.

The regular season winner could be selected to represent in the NCAAT. The SBC tourney then could be used to try and get a SBC team into the NIT every season.
