Good mix of football, basketball, baseball, markets, potential.

Try to get VCU Olympics.

Charlotte needs to announce a football stadium expansion pronto.

We’ll take 4 and they will include UAB, UTSA, FAU and probably marshal.

This sucks.

Why would those schools join? I guess I'm just not seeing value added at this point (as clearly identified by the MWC schools not leaving).

Why not App State or Louisiana? ESPN?

Let's be honest here. No one in MWC was going to join based on the comparative strengths of MWC and the AAC (minus three of the best teams). AAC without the top three schools are not the best G5 conference.

We (FAU), on the other hand, are, probably, strutting like peacocks, hoping to get a call up.

Significant increase in TV dollars and conference revenue, even if AAC revenue drops. AAC has also built up a lot of brand equity.

Why not App State or Louisiana? ESPN?

Good programs but zero eyeballs or markets brought. ESPN isn't going to pay top dollar for a market than consists of 20 thousand people.

Maybe you add App and Louisiana after you secure some major markets first.

The List, Choose 4:

UAB
UTSA
FAU
Charlotte
Old Dominion
Marshall
App
Louisiana
Georgia State

4 schools WILL be chosen from among the above. And they will accept. Who you got?

Is it going to be significant? That's my question...it could be a $300,000-$500,000 at the end of the day if ESPN's look-in goes one way, and does that make up the increased costs make sense? Didn't for MWC schools...

Gonna keep saying this:

The only A10 school that would join is UMass, and you're not inviting us. This is especially true with the potential for Memphis to be in the next round for the B12.

It's not going to drop from 7M to 300K. Even Craig Thompson admitted it would still be higher than MWC.

Money talks, but the AAC is looking less and less appealing as time goes. I like the idea of ECU for App, but outside of that, the conference appears to be heading towards a flashier versions of CUSA. I still don't think App is in the mix, but we'll be fine, especially if the SB lurers Marshall, and maybe S Miss.

NOOOO, I'm saying the DIFFERENCE would be $300,000-$500,000...meaning $1.75-2M vs. $1.2-$1.6M in CUSA/SBC.

AAC should look at where they lost and what is available in the region.

UConn - UMass/Army
Cincy- Marshall / Ohio
Houston - Texas State / Arkansas State/ Louisiana/ Louisiana Tech
UCF- Georgia State

There is a less than zero chance Ohio leaves the MAC. Marshall or WKU could...but if you're trying to replace anything resembling the market lost, neither of those hold a candle.

I think you all should go full court press on Liberty and FAU or Rice. Liberty is a low hanging fruit as they are an independent, and FAU or Rice get you right back into markets where share was lost and are decent enough schools.

UAB, UTSA, FAU and either Marshal or Charlotte…. Outside chance of Liberty. That would be my guess.

I cannot believe espn is gonna let the AAC basically die.

Only reason I can think of is that they know they aren’t done expanding e Big 12. Makes me think we will lose more than a single team.

Espn will wait till the next move, then merge the remaining pieces as they see fit.

This sucks.

Trade Marshall for Georgia State. You need the Atlanta market to help the TV contract.
