There are a lot of people who still think we are in Legion Field.03-pissed

I think it will be close to 44-45k. Very close to a hard sellout.

I will have SIXTEEN family members there. Almost had to sell a kidney to buy the tickets, but we’ve been waiting on this their whole lives.

Why does everyone think it's going to be close to a sell out? I see a lot of tickets remaining on the ticketing website.

I've been all over the country for sporting events. Birmingham is probably the most notoriously "walk up" event city I have ever been to. I know we say that and eye roll sometimes, but it's true. Maybe its the southern in us, maybe it's the way events have been here due to oversized facilities, where you could literally get away with showing up and hour before start and get a seat. I expect there's gonna be a ton of people who try to buy last minute. Especially with good weather and the buzz that will build this week.

I know a bunch of people who are season ticket holders who are getting hit up now with the "can you get me a ticket" like we used to be able to do at Legion. No, no we cannot. And even if we do, good luck, enjoy the end zone but you won't be able to squeeze in next to us like at Legion. You should have committed back in April like I asked, lol.

The Return game was the same way -- crowd just kept getting bigger. Honestly, it overwhelmed the gates. We had a couple grand more than the posted 45K but the game was already started and the ticket people just waved people through. We actually had more than 47K there, maybe even more than that at peak.

Bottom line is UAB Football as a hot ticket is gonna be a new experience for everyone and folks are gonna have to adjust.

The worst of that may be the belief that one can still buy a GA tix (or get a free one) and sit anywhere at midfield like they were able to do at Legion Field. It may take a retraining session to enforce that a section and seat number actually means what the ticket says.

Ruben was like Elvis/Michael Jackson at the time

I'm guessing that the Misstake game was about Miss. State

I’ve also had people ask if I had any spare tickets for Saturday. Nope.

I know I am captain obvious for saying this, but man it will be weird to see UAB football playing somewhere else than Legion Field.

Just from the rate Blazerjay posted over the last 4.5 days we will reach 39,548. Thing is the buzz is getting louder every day so I bet that rate increases.

Don't forget the A State game.

I swear to this day that USM crowd of 44669 was well over 50,000 a LOT of folks were not counted in that game. People were herded through grates with no turnstiles by the Park Board. I would even say compare the USM photo with the A&M photos. That crowd (A&M) was an actual turnstile count. No question the USM crowd is larger.

Oh well let's break a record Saturday shall we?

Lol probably. We will have a tremendous opportunity to engage and hook fans that have never experienced the thrill of being a Blazer before. I can’t wait to hear how loud it gets.
