And now he’s increasing our season tickets by a “modest” $8 per ticket, per game. Fire STF

Plus, you need to pay extra for parking no matter how much you donate to the HAF or how many premium benefits you purchase. To park in west lot A, it’s an additional $1,000 just to park your car. Yes, you literally have to pay $1,000 just to park your car there.

When I cancelled my season tickets, I gave them more than an earful of everything on my mind. I used to donate thousands annually and much more for the big projects. I’m sure the arse who heads Athletics could not care less.

We did seem to lose a lot of people right after they jacked up the ticket prices, and from your comments, lots of other stuff as well. This was before the state budget issues IIRC (at least, the ticket prices0. They just got greedy (in addition to either incompetence or laziness in handling an athletic program). I'm still getting football season tickets but it gets depressing with the low turnout on both sides of the stadium.

How much do season tickets come out to per seat?

Honestly, I'm betting its still way below the average college football game ticket so, some of the pushback on ticket increase is a bit due to being used to low prices and are not fully aware of the (still) low prices.

But, yeah...when the product and experience is declining and prices are increasing, it's a hard sell and people have one real way to use their voice (that really matters) and that is by not spending their money.

I get that prices go up. Its natural. The can't stay stagnant for ever. Prices on goods goes up, operating costs go up, and so that is always reflected in the price on attendance. However, when you are cutting corners and or just turning a blind eye to obvious negatives and then just expect to raise prices, there are going to be consequences.

For the most part, people will gradually pay more for the same product. But people will grow tired real fast for paying more for a lesser product and everything that goes into visiting both Huskie Stadium and The Convo have either been stagnant or declining.

With that said, there are improvements in both locations. But not enough for everyone and not enough to offset the declines.

And this has nothing to do with the product on the field but it does have an effect.

It was the single-game tickets at the time. I remember my brother-in-law being shocked at how much they went up by. So it wasn't a matter of the prices going up, but how much they increased by in a short time. I don't know what's happened to single game tickets since then as I've been getting season tickets.

Why buy season tickets when you can go on Stub Hub and get tickets cheaper and in a better location.

Mostly, to support NIU athletics is why I buy football season tickets. I also like having the same tailgate area and seats each year. Something about the familiarity is a good feeling.

Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of sh*t. That's all it is. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality item from me.

Reason #87 to fire Sean T. Frazier - His "Pack The Convo" game crowds barely resemble normal Div. 1 basketball attendance.

He hasn't moved athletics culture on campus forward at all, shockingly more likely he's moved it backwards a step or two.

I didnt fully pay attention to the promotion so I ask, what were the incentives to the fans and students to "pack" the convo?

Although STF should get some blame, we should be looking at president Freeman and those that left after John Peters as the main reason for piss poor athletic attendance. The school is down 10-12k in enrollment since the early 2000s. They did literally everything wrong with enrollment and student life. The surrounding campus is dangerous, there’s no night life or social activities, and they made a push to dismantle Greek row which kept students on campus. Thanks Freeman. Don’t let the door hit your a** on the way out.

Amen to that. She has dwindled enrollment (instead of recovering like ISU and UIC have) while STF has phoned in his role as well. Both are killing us every day they remain on campus.

What movie is anyone born after 2000 going to quote for the remainder of their life? The industry has been making cr4p since 2010. The MCU was great until End game but I cant see "we have a hulk" being anyones goto line. And no, it's not DEI.....the industry was failing before that.

I could be wrong but, that's just, like, my opinion, man.
