Houston QB Tune
I think Tunes biggest problem is coach Dana himself, dana is not coaching this kid, tune has big time talent and dana is making him play in a system that is not to his strengths
one thing great teams do is structure plays for your QBs strengths and allow that to develop to then know how to improve
Dana is stupid, he trying to put a square peg in a round hole and he will never learn
And Dana doesn’t have a clue how to recruit!!!, i can’t stress this enough
i saw that 5* transfer from alabama last year at practice watching practice standing right next to dana and dana was Awkward, he was intimidated, it really was cringe worthy, mybe he’s not a good coach and he’s handicapped Tune in a system that works only with very top talent on the o line

RE: Houston QB Tune
from someone who absolutely hated what i saw in his freshman year the guy has turned it around and has become a good QB. i appreciate the effort and him doing the best he can but he still makes simple mistakes.
not once in a while either. I'm talking about every single game.
he doesn't have the decision making to get us through the next level. the ncaa is cut-throat and i think it is a matter of time before someone takes the starting QB spot from him. this year we have a weak schedule and we lost to a crappy team. now is a good time to put some reps in for another QB but that will only solve half the problem. we will still have holgs.

Get another dual threat guy like King. Guys like that can hide a lot of flaws.

Coaches can only teach you so much the rest is up to player regardless what system they’re in... Our QB situation doesn’t look to good... I know the football season is young but if wins don’t start registering immediately Dana Holgorsen’s job could be in jeopardy.

Is he though? Tune's 2021 passer rating is 105.83 (90th nationally). Last year he had a rating of 130.36 (65th); in 2019 we didn't have a qb with enough attempts to qualify but Tune's 141.38 would have ranked him 49th.
Those numbers say Tune is an average at best qb whose career is trending downward.

RE: Houston QB Tune
2021 update: through four games Tune has a passer rating of 135.94 (72nd nationally). His yards per attempt is a woeful 6.9 (tied for 87th).
