Should we just preemptively sell a 16 team playoff of non-auto conferences to ESPN or CBS, etc and make the best of it?

If they decide to still let us participate in their club we can just exempt the highest ranked team from our playoffs and let them go win a national title. We might not be the hottest ticket around but we could certainly get some ratings. Even FCS does alright. Might get everyone a little more money and have some fun with it determining the top team/conference on the field. Have equal membership from all G(n) conferences choose who is eligible and maybe one representative from the lesser independents. Could use some of our bowl tie-ins to facilitate the games. Show them how it's supposed to work.

If they're only gonna give us 1 or none in their playoffs, we might as well do something for ourselves. I think that would at least mean something that our crappy little bowls do not. I believe it's gonna end up at this place anyway, eventually. We could start now.
