The win against Tennessee is awesome.

But the basketball wins mean nothing to me. CUSA has a good league, and I am confident Georgia State would not be as competitive against CUSA basketball competition.

Who are you and why do I need your validation????

I don't care about your opinion. It's irrelevant.

You said we bring nothing to a conference and GSU17 proved you wrong so you say ah but that doesnt count because I say so...LOL

You don't need my validation, just like we don't need your take on CUSA schools.

It's just fun banter and means nothing.

never said we'd roll through CUSA easily, and absolutely no disrespect to CUSA, but how are you so confident? we compete just fine with the big boys around our state, not just among mid-majors. there are more games than these but didn't want to spam.

Only because CUSA typically has more top 100 NET teams, and in most years, CUSA had a good record at advancing past the first round of the NCAA's.

Not a knock on Georgia State, in fact, your bball program has a really good early track record.

if we're discussing rankings, we also arent strangers to being top 100 NET often and typically top 25 in mid-major rankings. the expectation here is as high as any other decent mid-major basketball program around the country.

anyways, we can always agree to disagree. but i do believe your initial statement was bit of a hyperbole.

9/4. USM @ South Alabama
9/11. FIU vs Texas State
9/11. FAU vs Georgia Southern
9/18. Charlotte @ Georgia State
9/18. USM vs Troy
9/23 Marshall @ Appalachian State

I'll predict that CUSA will have a 4-2 record.

You guys east of the Mississippi River love you sum Scumbelt.

Well App stepped up and gave us a series when everyone else canceled last year. The very least we can do is return the game. Beyond that I think our last Sunbelt match was like 2005, Troy's first year in the SB and part of a 2 for 1. And a bowl vs FIU in 2011. Tech has played Sunbelt teams like what 10-15 times in that time? The last time we played App they were still FCS, I believe, prior to last year.

Marshall vs App is a great match up and draws a lot of viewers. Last years game drew 1.25M viewers on CBS.

What FAU misses about our time in the SunBelt are the trips flying into a nice airport, driving by a good university on a 2 hour bus trip to get to the SunBelt school. #goodtimes

GSU has good basketball. I wouldnt mind them being in CUSA or a future east coast conference at all. They were a fun conference partner back in the CAA days.
