UConn and the AAC are not coming together again and that’s fine for both.
AAC can do better and UConn has decided that basketball is their priority
BYU / Army or bust. No else adds value without adding headaches. Though I would add AF FB only or all sports, or CSU which is pretty much in the travel zone for the western division for a 12th for balance divisions if the AAC wanted to or needed to add one more football team. There are no schools in the east that add value but Army which has pretty much said no on numerous occasions.

kind of agree, but, at this point, i'd wait and see what shakes out from the new playoff / leagues can get rid of divisions / etc. stuff, before even seriously considering expansion. doesn't hurt to keep the contacts alive, but, i'd wait to pull the trigger. like you say, it'd be a very limited situation, where it would be advantageous for the league

Yes I think for now we stand pat until we get final answers on CFP deal and division requirements

At 10:18 he talks about the SEC. Before that he talks about tv contract renewals. I don't know if he truly believes what he said or just a poor choice or words, but he says they might pursue as many as four teams for all we know and that's what they'll be shooting for. Talk about some potential dominoes.

He was talking of the SEC getting 4 teams in playoffs, not adding 4 teams.

Army should not be on the AAC radar unless 2 or more of current members were to leave (Not likely), it's BYU or 11 under the new playoff format.

Little Tidbit of Importance of FBS football in the Northeast:
New Jersey: Rutgers (Public)
New York: Army Black Knights (Federal Military Academy), Buffalo Bulls (Public), Syracuse Orange(Private)
Connecticut: Connecticut Huskies (Public - Soon to move to FCS)
Massachusetts: Boston College Eagles (Private), UMass Minutemen (Public Independent)
Rhode Island: NONE
New Hampshire: NONE
Vermont: NONE
Maine: NONE
Although I have mentioned (in passing) Buffalo- Flagship and UMasss - Flagship, neither Buffalo nor UMass will be able to sustain FBS level level football for too long without State support (Not happening, all these states are broke) or belonging to a major conference... UConn will be in FCS or DII very soon, Hartford just downgraded from D-1 to D-II.
