They're adding two days to the tournament, but I'm all about having all games at the Bay Center.

Talk about a reward for Pensacola as well, two additional days of people in that area.

Seems like they were a great host this year. Glad for them. I'm ambivalent about the schedule change. Has benefits and also some aggravations. Excited to go next year.

Got an update on the schedule fro next year's BBall tourney.
Single venue.
Women's first round March 2
Men's first round March 3
Women Quarters March 4
Men Quarters March 5
Semis March 6
Finals March 7
That's insane. If you want to get there the night before the women begin and spend the night of the Final in Pensacola, as well, you'd have to shell out for 8 nights of hotel rooms. I know a lot of LR fans who support both teams, but don't know how many will do that. It a lot of time and a lot of money. I guess I have to hope both our teams have good seasons, so I wouldn't get there until the morning of the 4th. Maybe stop in Mobile on the night of the 3rd.

In the end, its a fair trade to address concerns about playing games at the local community college. Had there been a better set up for the 2nd court, I'd have been fine with it, but we needed to get the entire thing at the Bay center.

I didn't go this year, so it is hard for me to comment on the quality of the Jr. College facility. Still, I think with the small crowds attending the "play-in" games, it likely provided a better atmosphere for those early games. Don't know that we'll ever find a better set-up than Hot Springs had.

Hot Springs was very good. Even though a handful of WKU fans griped everyone who actually attended was happy. Hope you'all get the SBC tourney back there soon.

Thanks for the support, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
