It appears that ODU will avoid the sweep at home against Rhode Island today. ODU currently leads 16-0 going into the bottom of the 7th and have only given up 2 hits thus far.

UTSA took two of three from Sam Houston State up in Huntsville. We lost 4-2 on Friday, then won 10-4 yesterday and 18-5 today.

Solid start because Sam Houston State hasn't had a losing season since 2010. They've gone 350-212 (.622) since 2011 and have been to 6 NCAA tournament regionals in the last 9 complete seasons (last year being an unfinished season due to COVID).

clt says Charlotte moves to 6-0 with a 20-4 nail-biter.

Louisiana brooms Rice. Geaux Cajuns.

UAB completed a sweep of Alabama A&M to move to 5-2 on the season.

Charlotte is poking fantastic to start the season.

Rice baseball hasn't been itself in recent years. They haven't had a winning season since 2017, were 2-14 last year when COVID shut the rest of the season down, and are off to a 2-4 start so far this season.

Wednesday is the big night for FAU. Owls (6-1) are visiting the #7 UF (6-2).

I would love to have a three game series with the Owls. We’ve definitely had some good ones in the past. Always had a ton of respect for FAU baseball going back to those Cooney / Robe days.

Looks like it's going to be another tough season...

Ultimately, the issue comes back to our AD and him not giving us the resources to compete in men's athletics. We are the best program in the conference in women's sports, but suck in most men's sports (we're OK in tennis, golf, and XC/TF).
