Baseball officially starts tomorrow but many schedule changes have been made already.

- USM has moved it's Friday game to a Saturday DH due to travel issues with Northwestern St (La)
- La Tech will now only play 2 games at LSU tournament as Notre Dame isn't travelling due to its Covid issues
- Rice games vs Washington and Little Rock cancelled, still playing Houston Baptist on Sunday for now
- UTSA vs Utah cancelled yet both teams are looking for makeup games per Kendall Rogers on Twitter

And in "breaking news"....the Ivy League announced today (yes, the day before the season officially starts) that it is cancelling all its conference games. And furthermore, Ivy schools aren't allowed to play other Ivy schools as a non-conference games. Ivy League coaches now considering cancelling their season all together as Ivy League is saying "local" games only which means team will be relegated to just 10-12 games or so each max. Ivy League will lose it's auto berth for post season regionals.

Could be misinformation, but someone reported on Tech's BB&B forum that Air Force backed out of the Baton Rouge trip this weekend too. Just to repeat, this is NOT confirmed yet.

And due to continued weather issues the USM series has been changed again. Now playing a single games Saturday at 5 pm, Sunday at 2 pm and Monday at 1 pm

Apparently, FAU started the season on the front foot.

FAU @ #24 UCF 12-6. Second game of the series is tonight and the third one - tomorrow.

LA Tech will play Air Force on Sunday at 4pm and LSU on Monday at 6:30 pm. This is confirmed directly by Tech's head baseball coach.

Rice scores 4 runs in B1 before any were out ... but ends up losing 8-7 in 10 innings. Last out was a flyout at the LF wall with the tying run at 2nd.

FAU is leading #24 UCF 12-3 in the bottom of the fourth, 12-3 (all 12 FAU runs came in the second)

UCF did get 6 runs back in the 5th and 6th. So, now, FAU's lead is only 17-9
