I will attempt to update each day as teams play their respective games.
I saw a writer on Twitter that had ODU as a traveling 1 seed playing in a Pittsburgh regional. Is there a seeding standard that determines if you’re eligible to host (like you can be a 2 but not a 3 or 4)?
Pittsburgh has lost 6 straight and 9 of past 12, they aren't hosting. And considering it's the NCAA who has their lovefest with P5 schools there probably isn't a seeding standard unless it benefits one of those schools.

Kendall Rogers is pretty accurate with his guesstimates and according to him the teams fighting for the final spot are Charlotte, South Carolina, USM and La Tech with Charlotte in the lead. Sounds like CUSA will need lots of help to get a 2nd host bid.

The Seeding "standard" is whatever "baloney speak" they can use to justify their LACK of an equitable standard.

Rice has parted ways with Coach Bragga after just 3 (poor) seasons. I wonder if they already have a replacement in mind (the Texas A&M coach was just fired - he'd probably be a good choice).

Good luck Rice. You belong with CLT and ODU, not Marshal, on the diamond.

WKU probably wouldn’t be in the tournament if they hadn’t played Marshall 8 times in the regular season so I’m not sure what you feel is not equitable about the seeding.

I think if Charlotte 3-0s to the Finals, they're in, no question. Then USM or Tech need to 3-0 to get in as well. The Champion will definitely host, it's just a question of if we get two, which will come down to how others do as well.

- Florida beat Kentucky so probably locks UF in as a host....however, if UF loses their next 2 that still has them finishing losing 6 of the final 7 games... UF plays Miss St on Wednesday
- In somewhat of a possible developing situation ECU lost their final 2 regular season games at current #116 USF and now today ECU is trailing #224 Memphis 10-1 in the 7th. I don't think ECU is in danger of losing a host spot but a loss today followed by a loss tomorrow "may" put their spot on the bubble depending on how others do.
- South Carolina losing 8-0 to Alabama 8-0 in the 4th

South Carolina lost to Alabama 9-3. This eliminates South Carolina from the SEC Tourney as well as hopefully a NCAA host spot as South Carolina lost 4 of their last 5 SEC series as well 3 of their final 4 overall games.

Message received. Yeah, regional groupings and seedlings seem like a shitshow.
Best of luck in the conference tournament to Western since you’re in the opposite side from ODU. I think you’ll need some in that bracket. Go out and get a bucket of KFC in the morning to sacrifice to Jobu

I'd say that's pretty accurate at this point. USM/LT "winner" needs to go 4-0 this week in order to host IMO. An added bonus would be to play/beat a 3-0 Charlotte/ODU in the championship game to make it a virtual lock.

RE: 2021 baseball season
Wednesday games of interest:
- Florida vs Miss St - Florida projected as #14 national seed so back to back losses could hurt them. A loss today and they would play loser of Tennesse and Alabama tomorrow
- ECU vs Cincinnati: ECU fell from a projected 8 seed to 10 seed after losing last 2 regular season games. Lost in ACC tourney yesterday to a bad Memphis team. Could an 0-2 in AAC tourney knock them out of top 16?
- For CUSA teams Charlotte, USM and La Tech all need a win to keep their chances alive
From D1 baseball: ultimately the C-USA tournament will likely decide which team hosts between Charlotte, La Tech and Southern Miss — there is very little separation between the three of them right now.
- interesting and odd at the same time but D1 baseball has Indiana as one of the "last 5 in" yet Indiana has a RPI of 113 and has lost 6 of their last 8 games

RE: 2021 baseball season
Florida spanking Miss St early on 9-1 so assuming that holds then Florida locks up a host spot. Appearing more and more likely CUSA will get just the 1 host spot assuming Charlotte, LT or USM wins it. Should someone else win it I could see CUSA all being 2 seeds but then should that someone else not be ODU would CUSA get 5 teams in the NCAAs????

RE: 2021 baseball season
With all the borderline host teams winning it appears that CUSA's only host possibility is with USM/LT assuming WKU doesn't pull a miracle and win Friday and Saturday x2 .
All of the "borderline" teams took care of business so yesterday to pretty much lock themselves into a host spot
Stanford - won Thursday, RPI now 11
Ole Miss - won Thursday, RPI now 14
Oregon - won Thursday, RPI now 16
Florida - won Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, RPI now 17
Gonzaga - won Thursday, RPI now 20
USM - won Wednesday and Thursday, RPI now 19
La Tech - won Wednesday, lost Thursday, RPI now 26
based off CURRENT is situation these should be the 16 hosts but not necessarily in correct order:
Arkansas
Texas
Vanderbilt
Arizona
TCU
Texas Tech
Tennessee
Miss State
Notre Dame
ECU
Stanford
Ole Miss
Oregon
Florida
Gonzaga
USM
