Biden is a lifelong politician and now President and he is stinking it up. I'll ask again, why can't our President talk to media unscripted? It's weird, no?
No, we can not move on because he hasn't moved on the GOP leaders are not moving on. Trump is still lying about election results. And GOP leaders are still voicing their support for a man who lied about election results & caused an insurrection.

January 13, 2022 at 9:18 a.m. EST

Appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show on Wednesday night, Lindsey Graham made a characteristically pragmatic (rather than moral) case for McConnell to iron things out with the former president. Graham even said he would not be able to support a leader who would be at odds with Trump — becoming the rare senator to publicly threaten not to support McConnell.

Graham added: “I’m not going to vote for anybody for leader of the Senate as a Republican unless they can prove to me that they can advocate an ‘American First’ agenda and have a working relationship with President Trump, because if you can’t do that, you will fail.”

“Elections are about the future,” Graham said. “If you want to be a Republican leader in the House or the Senate, you have to have a working relationship with President Donald Trump. He’s the most consequential Republican since Ronald Reagan. It’s his nomination if he wants it, and I think he’ll get reelected in 2024.”

Cool story. I wouldn't pick you the type to watch fox news.
Did I say something that isn't truthful?

No idea I haven't watched any of the garbage cable news stations in over a decade. I focus on things that impact my daily life. Such as paying $3.50 for a gallon of gas or $4.00 for a carton of eggs.
That's interesting. How do you know Joe Biden will only use a script if you don't follow any of this?

Flip on the news right now. He's taking questions from the White Press Corps as we speak.

You might want to expand your horizons on where you choose to get information from before you make ignorant false claims.

You gotta watch the news just to see bumbling Joe fall asleep at a climate conference. Or joe unknowingly saying “let’s go Brandon” from his own mouth. Hes also becoming more incoherent with every speech.

Are you talking about the same thing in which bumbling joe and president Harris recently compared to Pearl Harbor and 911 (events in which caused thousands of innocent Americans to tragically lose their lives)?

No, I'm talking about Lyin' Cheatin' Racist Donnie lying about election fraud 6 months before the election even happened, then lying about election fraud after he lost, then organizing an Insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th where people died, then lying that the Insurrection didn't happen or the FBI caused it or whatever, and then lying about election fraud some more.

You actual think that group of weirdos they let walk into the capital was a threat to democracy or a threat to overthrow our Gov't??? LOL, that's cute. It would take far more than a drunk guy in a Viking Halloween costume to overthrow the United States Gov't.

The goal of the crowd on January 6th 2021 was not to overthrow the government. Their goal was to stop the counting and certification of the electoral votes that showed that Biden won the 2020 election and for a period of time that day they were successful. Insurrection means "a violent uprising against an authority or government" so by the definition of the word the January 6th crowd did exactly that.

RE: Democracy under attack
GRBronco, you are glossing over the fact that a large group of Trump supporters committed felonies by beating up police officers and breaking into the US Capitol while Congress was in session. They broke into private and restricted areas, looting and damaging property in the process. This was all done at the encouragement of the sitting president, his allies, right wing pundits, and far right groups. This group was armed with an array of scavenged weapons, some had handcuffs and other materials of a questionable nature. Why did they need tactical gear and restraints? What was their goal?

They let them in? Who did? The president at the time? So you agree that he was a part of this?

Why try to downplay what went down that day?

The group at the Capitol was never going to overthrow our government, and no one has claimed that. The point is...what were they doing there? What was their intent? And why did Trump encourage it or at the very least do nothing to stop it?

The same people that go ballistic when a Dollar General is looted during protests are saying "oh, the media is just hyping up Jan 6, it wasn't that bad, blah blah blah". Why?

Did you read the Mark Meadows notes where that was all a part of the plan? Trump & his minions wanted that to happen. Then they declare martial law. Then he is inserted as the acting POTUS instead of Congress making Biden’s election win official.

And his supporters think it’s no big deal.

This thread is about a threat to democracy. Every POTUS including Biden can be criticized for things. But, they all respect American democracy and the will of the American people. Except Trump. And he’s still a threat to our democracy. Because, he’s still spreading lies & the GOP is still supporting him.

No, it’s embarrassing for adults who think middle school insults through hidden meanings are some sort of victory.
