Shane Beamer son of Frank Beamer former Va Tech coach is the favorite to be the next USC coach. Charlie Strong is being mentioned as the DC. The coordinators will probably make more than the Head Coach.
Rumor: USA is in the market for a new HC. We’ll see

Some USM fans think that one of our rumored top candidates Kane Wommack (Indiana DC) will get a good look there. He was the DC at USA prior to going to IU in 2018.

**And Steve Campbell at South Alabama now officially fired**
Shane Beamer to USC official

South Carolina never ceases to amaze, Will Muschamp was a WTF sloppy seconds hire from UofF, now this it's beyond WTF, I have no idea what to call it. 03-lmfao

That job is similar to the Kentucky job. It is extremely tough to win there. You take that job to get paid, not to help your career ascend. However, as long as TN stays down, they have a chance to finish as high as 3rd in the SEC East. You basically start the year with 3 losses... Florida, Georgia, and Clemson, and the in-state rival is competing for the National Title just about every year.

UL Monroe parted ways with their head coach so now the Sun Belt is tied with the SEC with both having 2 head coaching changes.

Now three changes in the Belt. AState waives $650,000 of Blake Anderson's $800,000 to let him go to Utah State.

The only thing worse than a bad coach...average to slightly above average coach. The really bad coach is gone in 2 or 3 years but that average coach wins just enough every 2 to 3 years. Not to get fire, before you know it, its 7 to 8 years later and your team hasn't and cant win that big game...

Dicky Nutt'ed is what I call it. As you Ark St fans lived it in basketball. But then again it could also be called "John Brady'ed"

Being a long-time winning coach in G5 is like being the Triple A home run leader.

We call it being Stockstilled but same concept.

Auburn fired Gus Malzahn and owe him $21 million, and half of it ($10.5 mil) is due in the next 30 days.

I'm in the wrong business...

But, heck! Ole Gus should take that money and just retire. He can coach his grandsons, if he has any, or after he gets some, and be the highest paid coach in Pop Warner football!

We have one of those that no one else comes calling for. Good season but can’t win the conf. Gets outcoaced by an average coach. Wins conf about once every 10 years average. LOL

Pretty good hires in my opinion. How much more money did Utah State offer Anderson? That is going to be a hard job for him.

I doubt it as long as Saban is at Bama the best Auburn can hope for is 2nd in the West and that will get an Auburn coach fired.

Have there been rumors Holgorsen might get fired? I haven't read that anywhere.
