RE: Open thread - CFB - NOV. 4-7
I know these schools agreed on the rules for this season, but there are a few scenarios that I'll be very pissed about if Wisconsin gets into the BIG title game. As long as 3 games aren't canceled, you still qualify. Yuck, 6 games vs. 8 is a big advantage any way you slice it.

It might be better to go by the number of wins instead of winning percentage. But I agree that Wisconsin is getting an easy pass even if they are favored in the games cancelled.

RE: Open thread - CFB - NOV. 4-7
My top 6 this week.
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Ohio State
5. Georgia
6. Cincinnati
It was hard not placing Texas A&M in the 6 spot, but I just feel Cincy deserves it a little more. Georgia better start playing offense like they actually care or they will soon be defeated again.
Indiana- if you find a way to get to 4-0 over the next couple weeks, you're getting in the top 6. A Tom Allen team with the offense outperforming the defense, very surprising!

BIG
Michigan (42) vs.
Indiana (5)
I think Michigan might pull this off? *** I think Michigan may struggle here.
Nebraska (22) vs.
Northwestern (4)
I'm picking Nebraska to roll in this one. *** IDK about this either
Michigan State (9) vs.
Iowa (4)
Can Iowa actually start 0-3? I think they might! *** my impression: MSU is not good this year, despite getting up to play the fighting Logans.
Purdue (10) vs.
Wisconsin (13)
I'll take Wisconsin, but could see this being very close. *** Purdue WILL upset somebody this year, but it won't be the Badgers - 100% lock!
Maryland (13) vs.
Penn State (48)
Penn State rolls to their first win. *** OTOH, if the Terps win, State College may explode!
Minnesota (4) vs.
Illinois (11)
Minnesota wins big! *** yep
Rutgers (4) vs.
Ohio State (66)
Ohio State big! *** yep
OOC
BYU (4) vs.
Boise State (4)
Huge Friday night game. *** yep
Clemson (46) vs.
Notre Dame (46)

Stanford (27) vs.
Oregon (37)
Great to see the PAC playing again. *** I suppose

B1G step down from the last 2 weeks for the Big Ten, but I am curious whether Maryland can hang with Penn State (and for how long).

Penn State's season was practically (and surprisingly) over after the first week. They showed up and played hard (not necessarily well or smart) and lost game 2. Can they stay motivated and keep going when they are 0-2 and had National Championship aspirations? We'll see. For all Franklin's warts, he does get the team to play hard.

RE: Open thread - CFB - NOV. 4-7
I appreciate cubucks & GEandMTS keeping this going here. I feel like I've fallen off the face of the earth when it comes to the board. Job change has been crazy. Also, thanks also to Hokie Mark for dropping in. Ok, to sports.
I think the easy picks are Ohio State, Minnesota and Penn State. If Maryland somehow wins that...my head might explode (I'm not looking up the line because I don't want to be depressed but I think I'd be surprised if it wasn't at least 21 points).
I have Michigan pulling out a tight game with Indiana. I have Nebraska over Northwestern (I think NW is good but not as good as the score vs Maryland indicated). Wisconsin should take care of business with Purdue.
The OOC games I'm not sure about. I don't know a thing about BYU or Boise...or the PAC either. I'm just going to skip those. As for Clemson vs Notre Dame, I think I'm going with Clemson. I actually expect ND to give them a good game but Clemson gets it in the end.

If you noticed my picks the prior 2 weeks, please don't take comments seriously, lol!

Still have 7 minutes in the 3rd and Indiana has ~330 offensive yards. How in the hell does Don Brown keep his job?

Way too much talent at Penn State and Michigan for the teams to look like this
Congratulations to Indiana, Northwestern and Iowa.

There seems to be a dearth of talent at Michigan and Penn State looked slow at times today. Indiana has had an increasingly physical quality to their game and Penix has been a load.

It’s possible that Michigan and Penn State may only win two games this season and one of those games is against each other. Penn State still has one game against the west. You have to figure with no contract extension in Ann Arbor that Harbaugh is on his way out.....

Ohio State has two games left of tough competition..... at Maryland and Indiana the following week. After that it’s a breeze to the Big Ten title game.

Penn State is a good team.
You sure about that?
No excuses for this season. Some people need to lose some jobs. Franklin should be safe since he just signed a huge extension but that's about it. I know money is tight everywhere with COVID-19 but this season is unacceptable.

This is one of the weirdest sentences I think I've ever seen (related to football). It is so 2020. I am still in shock of yesterday's events.
