Has App....Lost a step?
They just don't look the same this year. 3rd coach in 3 years. Still have a lot of talent, but they just don't look nearly as dominant.

For the first time this year, I am considering the possibility that someone else might win the East.

Well they cleared out a spot for a Big Ten team in the top 25 poll.

I think Marshall is the real deal. That said, APP is even more removed from Scott Satterfield now. I think you'll see a less dominant APP this season.

Agreed, on both points.

RE: Has App....Lost a step?
Maybe, but they are still the top team in the conference and Marshall is really that good.

RE: Has App....Lost a step?
I think so, and it's not just this week, but the UNCC game as well. Part of it is not having Darrynton Evans or Corey Sutton, but their offense just doesn't look as choreographed and crisp as it did and they're making mistakes they didn't make the last couple of seasons.

That said, I do think Marshall will win their division if they keep that QB and RB healthy. FAU won't be able to stop them without their QB and having Willie Taggart as a coach, and no one else in the division will be able to finish ahead of them.

App State is still king of the hill in the Belt until a conference team knocks 'em off.

Special teams are terrible and I think losing the play calling of Satt and Drink has hit us harder than we thought.

Defense should keep us in all remaining games however.

Probably 8-3 this year.

Marshall whipped both our lines ashes like I’ve never seen. That’s it . Maybe add in some of the worst play calling I’ve seen too.

If anyone knows what’s it’s like to lose 3 coaches on 3 years, it’s stAte.

That’s a good start for how rough it could be.

The utmost respect to App. It was such a solid game. Highs and lows both ways. App fans, don’t sell Charlotte short. They are a solid team, and if I am wrong, I’ll eat my hat. It was a game in crappy weather and rain is the great equalizer. Now go win the Belt!

I hope when Doc retires we can get our boy Petersen back.

Didn’t watch the game but if your OL was getting whipped as you claim, it’s pretty tough to call plays.

I would not say APP is the undisputed king of the sun belt. Cajun fans would like a word.

I don’t know yet. Need to wait until the La game to find out. 3rd coaching staff in 3 years has something to do with it. No Sutton, and it seems, no dominant running back also part of the problem. OL did
Not look too good today... defense did enough to win. Still, we had two red zone possessions end with turnovers and a miss fieldgoal. We could have won the game. Can’t say we looked very motivated today... don’t know why, and that’s concerning.

If we drop one one game this year, I’m ok if it’s this one... just not sure that this is a crisp enough team to win the SBC this year. We have two weeks to work out the issues... we will see.

Tony calling plays to help his alma mater win today. How did that guy get a job again?

I think we might be willing to negotiate something.
